Social "Time to Tip the Scales!" - Robin Social Thread

I like the analysis of this topic so far. Robin was the character I have only wanted to make the roster with potential mechanic-wise and I was happy Sakurai and I had similar visions on his implementation.

I have been very curious on how this guy would play; hell, I actually hoped he'd adopt a Snake playstyle - (Tactician? Hello?)but that is just an example of how much of a unique or standout-ish character he can be and I'm glad Sakurai definitely kept him close to his Fire Emblem homage with the certain tidbits and detail in his attacks.

I'd rather put on Trainer Battle from X & Y myself most of the time, regardless of character - maybe because Global Battles in X & Y has me to that competitive "destroy them all"-feel.

But goshers, Id - Purpose gives me so much feels, such emotional and uplifting tune... not feeling keen on using it in Smash Run. Arena Ferox though, boy, I'm gonna feel so home there. The song wouldn't be more perfect for the stage and heightens the atmosphere there to very timeless feel.

I'm especially not fan of the song being somewhat cut around the middle, even if the original song was kinda long - the cut part using that piece from Id - Sorrow or Id - Serenity just strikes right to the core...

Unfortunately I don't expect them to add the full length one to the final build, since Smash has edited or clipped some existing songs reused to the stages before (Shotgun Kiss comes to mind from Brawl)

As great of a song Id - Purpose is(and oddly fitting in any setting that reminds you of a barren battlefield really), the parts cut to make room for the eerily, yet, inspiring chanting or orchestra helps in a way in a more intensive scenario. But as pointed out: this is the 3DS version. For all we know, we might get the full package of many popular tracks in the Wii U version...maybe!

I'll play it with that, but also with the Fire Emblem Melee theme. Nothing pumps me up more than that theme.

Depends on how many FE tracks are in the 3DS version. I'll be sure to set them to maximum frequency (if that's in) whenever I play as one of the FE characters.

Really, makes me wanna start a new game with just Robin and pair her with Lucina jjst so I can have a file with both shipped in. (Also the debates on Chrom allowing marriage between two, come on now, he totally would)

Heck, on the fanfiction department, has anyone read this? It has Lucina deal with being a mother after meeting Morgan with Robin on her side. So professionally written and I love the interactions in this story.

The thing is, i cannot see them make original clothing and then doing nothing for fanservice for the people whose favourites didn't get in. What with the "anybody can join now" and all.

On another note, i must be the worst FE player on the damn PLANET. All i hear is how hard mode is way too easy, and even with my lvl 16 characters i got by abusing the EXPonential growth DLC map, i was unable to win against 2 packs of Risen that appeared on Map 4, nor avoid one characters death in the story-battle at the Ylisse Castle even with retrying 7 times... Good thing i play casual ._. I don't know how in the world you could possibly win hard without losing characters if you don't have a way to farm you characters up...and with reeking boxes being 4800 G... ARGH. Somebody teach me the ways of FE D:

I thought this at first, too. But there are some differences.
The main parts being that there seems to be golden adornmentson the shoulderparts. And Robin's sleeves also don't end in frills. The pants also seem to be brown instead of white/beige. There are probably a few more differences but we can't get a good look at it from this angle.

Of course. His daughter is marrying his favorite man in the world (or maybe second favorite... because Frederick) who he knows is only going to treat her well and make her happy. That's perfect. The only reason to oppose is because of the creepy age difference, but with Lucina and Robin being roughly the same age, that's a mute point. Now if his own Lucina started dating Robin in about 18 years, then I could see a problem.

Then again, I'm sure that no father wants to see their daughter making out with her lover, so I'm not too sure if he'd be too happy to see them making out on the battlefield. Then again, Robin and Lucina are both classy, so I'm sure that it was just a quick smooch that he'd find "cute" and not a full make out session.

The only way I could see Chrom be angry about them is if he found out by walking in on them.

I liked the married version better. It's cuter, and shows much Lucina's developed as a character. Also the Inigo married to F!Robin convo is wierd.

Agreed, although it'd feel odd not having the Main Fire Emblem Theme on a stage. That song has been one of my favorites since Melee and always gets me pumped to rush into battle headfirst with my sword.

Purpose is as much the Fire Emblem theme as the Fire Emblem track from Melee is the Fire Emblem theme.
