What is the one character that would make you freak out the most (in a good way) if they got into Smash? Including the longest of long shots, which would absolutely blow your mind?

That's a very good question. I'd obviously be happy about Magolor, but I already half expect him, so my reaction to him wouldn't be a total freak-out if he got in.

I guess Shadow the Hedgehog would be a total "OH MAI GAWWWWWWWWWWWD" character for me. Not sure who else I'd freak out over. To be honest, the only character I've ever been super excited about is Meta Knight. All character trailers hype me up pretty good, and I suppose my reactions to Robin and Cloud came really close, but my reaction to seeing Meta Knight in Brawl simply can't be topped. Not that I didn't expect Meta Knight, it was just the best thing ever to finally see him in the game.

I'd be happy with just about any character at this point. I just hope whoever else gets in will please everybody (LOL that's not happening).

I would love to see Terra, Phoenix Wright, and Bomberman. All of my most wanted are long shots; my mind would be blown if any of them got in!

It's like Tidus being pronounced "Tee-dus" and "Tie-dus". "Officially" and I think this happened in Dissidia, it's "Tee-dus", but in Kingdom Hearts 2, Selphie's voice actress pronounced it as "Tie-dus". I blame it on English being a "disorganized" language. In other languages such as French and German, letters pretty much have the same sound regardless, so in French, Tidus would be something like "Tee-duu" since the T would still be the same even though it's technically "tay" for just the letter, the I sounds like "ee" instead of "eye", the U sound is more like "ew" rather than "you" in English, and without an E at the end, you don't pronounce the "last" letter in modern French for most words; in old French you do. So, unless specified, like unless Square Enix straightup said that Tidus was pronounced "Tee-dus", Tidus's named would just be pronounced like that in French. Meanwhile, in English, names like Tidus and Nowi end up flip-flopping between "ee" and "eye" for the I unless specified like until Tidus "finally" had his name said in Dissidia and in Awakening where Nowi's voice actress says her name. Funny enough, I think in Italian, Mario is supposed to be pronounced "mare-ri-oh" instead of "mar-ri-oh".

In general, this sort of makes some names difficult even if they don't seem to be hard to pronounce like Ryu. In Japanese, sounds are sounds; you can't change them. If you do, then you end up with a different sound which would require a different character. So, Ryu's name will always be "Ree-you", but in English, the Y sound can be an "ee", "eye", or "why" sound like Anthony has the Y sound like "ee" while the word rye has the Y sound like "eye". This leads to Ryu being called "Reye-you". Now take a Japanese word like suzumebachi. Looks weird, but it's just "su-zu-may-baa-chi". At that point, I think it's just getting used to telling what sounds are like in Japanese since if you didn't know enough about Japanese you probably couldn't figure out what letters make what sounds kind of like if you didn't know much about Italian, could you really pronounce Ezio? Assassin's Creed II told us all, but if that didn't exist, I'm willing to bet people would be saying things like "eh-zee-oh", "eh-zeye-oh", "ehzh-ee-oh", "ehzh-eye-oh", "ee-zee-oh", or "ee-zeye-oh" instead of "etzh-zee-oh". Hell, there are people who pronounce Icarus as "eye-care-rus" instead of "ick-cuh-rus" which even then, I don't know if that's the "true' pronunciation since I don't know Greek.

Languages are both funny and fascinating things.

Hm, i cant think that Zero (as much as id love it), Dante, or anyone from Capcom would get in because of Marvel Versus Capcom. No, you can't count MegaMan because Capcom can't do anything with him now. The only reason MegaMan was allowed into smash was because he's based on his design and abilities from his NES/SNES games, and because Capcom royally screwed up by not letting him be in UMvC3 and canceling MegaMan Legends 3, which made MegaMan's intellectual owner leave the company.

TL;DR for that paragraph: no Zero or Dante because Capcom.

Eevee would be hilarious, and all the skins would be the various eeveelutions. it'd be like alph/olimar but with so many more!

Though i'd have to say it's probably one of the melee veterans because people complained enough, and Nintendo likes re-selling content multiple times.
