Mabel: "Hey, Grunkle Stan, do you have a ladder?"
Stan: "Nope. Studies have shown that keeping a ladder in the house is ten times more dangerous than a gun. That's why I own ten gunsguns: in case some maniac tries to sneak in with a ladder!"
"In case some maniac tries to sneak in with a ladder!"

This is now the official Gravity Falls + Some tactician named Robin thread.

A Girl once said this to me once, and my face was just like this.

"In case some maniac tries to sneak in with a ladder!"

This is now the official Gravity Falls + Some tactician named Robin thread.
Yess... *Evil laugh*

But let's be sure to put some of it in spoiler tags... We've got to let the newcomers discover the greatness for themselves.

Since it's being talked about, I might as well ask, what's the closest thing you'd compare Gravity Falls sense of humor to? The little bits I've seen of the show look appealing enough to be the first western cartoon to catch my interest since Avatar (or if you want to go further than that...Teen Titans I believe), but I'm pretty sure I'd dislike if it's similar to Adventure Time or MLP.
From what I've seen of the humor in Adventure Time... It's not like that. AT tends to throw a lot of weird, random stuff at you without much explanation for a laugh. Gravity Falls' humor is a bit more... thought out, you could say? It's a very clever show that pulls off a wide variety of humor.

Also, @ Done Done you should put some of that stuff in spoiler tags.

Sorry, but I'm a little confused. What's wrong exactly with my replies?
I edited my original post that you quoted from (to correct the quote from the show, which is irrelevant). It now reads:

Mabel: "Hey, Grunkle Stan, do you have a ladder?"
Stan: "Nope. Statistics show that keeping a ladder in the house is ten times more dangerous than a gun. That's why I own ten guns: in case some maniac breaks in with a ladder!"
It's a small thing, but discrepancies like that really set off my OCD.

That isn't a platitude. I really do have obsessive-compulsive disorder and it really does make me anxious.

Eh, correcting yourself doesn't bother me as long as what you said is still in context, and this is coming from a guy with slight OC tendencies, so I understand how something like that bothers you. I still got a chuckle out of the quote even though it was slightly off, so I saw no need to change my quote.

No, I mean, can you fix your quote so it matches my original message?

This is really embarrassing, I'm sorry.

Ah sorry, I have a tendency to run my mouth unnecessarily, sorry about that. I saw the error in my post and got it changed, so I hope it made you feel better.

SpongeBob from S1 to Movie 1 will always be golden and disgustingly easy to quote/reference lines from

Movie 2 was good too (not the TV one, the theatrical one)

So I'm not the only one that thinks that SB was at its best from S1 to the first movie. High five! What was your favorite episode?

The weird thing about Spongebob for me is I remember when it first aired on TV....which was now over 15 years ago. Like holy **** that show's been around that long now.

What if they made a Smash Bros cartoon? Would you want to see more action or comedy from it? Ever since I saw Plautena's reveal I've been wanting a Smash anime or cartoon.

I would have to agree, they are all good, but if I had to pick an absolute favorite, it would be hands down "Chocolate with Nuts".

It would be an action dramedy, if anything.

It's really hard to beat classic cartoons. Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, Tom & Jerry.

Partly because they were actually created for everyone, not just children, which is why the writing is so good. Steven Universe, Adventure Time and Gravity Falls are the start of a return to the views of those times about cartoons.

I've really gotten addicted to Animal Crossing New Leaf lately. Anyone else?

I even made my profile pic one of me in a Robin costume :D

I quite like the new Mickey Mouse cartoons too; they have a "Ren and Stimpy" meets "Ed Edd and Eddy" feel to them. They also remind me of the old series, House Of Mouse. :)
