I've been watching Critical Role recently for my own purposes and entertainment recently, and decided to look up what the voice actors involved had done. Y'know, curious where I knew them from.

Where I knew them from turned out to be Lucina, Inigo, Lonqu, Brady, Gerome, Kellam, Stahl, and Donnel.

I wouldn't go THAT far. I haven't seen it (probably should since I keep hearing it's good), so I'm not sure if it's the best modern western cartoon, but I'm certain that I know far better cartoons than it. You may now release the Winny to rend the flesh from my bones.

What exactly is Gravity Fall?

Gravity Falls is a cartoon show that airs on Disney Channel/XD. The show follows twin siblings Dipper and Mabel Pines as they spend their summer vacation in the town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, with their Great Uncle Stan. While there, Dipper discovers a mysterious journal in the woods detailing the many supernatural secrets of the town, before abruptly ending with a final warning from the unknown Author. From there, the show centers around the twin's various encounters with the paranormal as they try to uncover the secrets of the town.

Despite being a Disney show, it's extremely good and easily one of the best cartoons to have ever aired. It's got great humor, a compelling mystery, genuine emotions, and a cast of amazing characters. I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Sounds like its a cool show, but can it go toe to toe with something like A:TLA? I'll probably watch it at some point down the line, but I want to finish up Gurren Lagann and Boardwalk Empire first. I got convinced by the rest of you guys to watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as well, so I'll probably watch that before I watch Gravity Falls.

I was simply acting like what the average Smash fan would react to the sight of a clone. Pikachu Libre may not actually play like a clone, but if we were to apply clone-hater logic here,
Dr. Mario is literally Mario in a doctor's outfit, Pikachu Libre is literally Pikachu in a luchador outfit and is therefore a clone.

Sounds like its a cool show, but can it go toe to toe with something like A:TLA? I'll probably watch it at some point down the line, but I want to finish up Gurren Lagann and Boardwalk Empire first. I would definitely say it's of similar quality to The Last Airbender. While it's definitely a different style of show (TLA leans more towards action and adventure while Gravity Falls is more comedy and mystery), both are very high quality shows that go above and beyond expectations for their time.

Also, it might be worth pointing out that the best of Gravity Falls is better than just about anything you'll find on other cartoons, or even TV shows in general.

However, the show is hilarious. Each episode is filled with great comedic moments, often times pushing the boundaries of what you'd normally expect out of a show for kids.

EX:

Stan: "Now who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car?"
Dipper and Mabel: "Yay!"
Dipper: "Wait, what?"

I started watching Gravity Falls, but life shenanigans got in the way, and by the time I remembered it, it was halfway through season 2. I should start watching it again, I had a blast every time I watched it.

Since it's being talked about, I might as well ask, what's the closest thing you'd compare Gravity Falls sense of humor to? The little bits I've seen of the show look appealing enough to be the first western cartoon to catch my interest since Avatar (or if you want to go further than that...Teen Titans I believe), but I'm pretty sure I'd dislike if it's similar to Adventure Time or MLP.
