I think it's misleading to call the results of that pull legit as "Time's most influential person," because that honor they gave to Barack Obama a few months ago. That poll is just a wee bit silly.

I always knew that most people are stupid, this just about proves it. Seriously, though, the dude who made 4chan? I can only shake my head in disappointment of humanity.

Moot wasn't even popular on the actual poll until people hacked it.
So don't worry about humanity...yet.

I was actually thinking Oprah. After all, she's the one who got Obama elected.
You mean the internet.

I read moot's profile, and a few interviews on time.com. He's hilarious.

You guys shouldn't scoff it off too soon. It's fairly evident that nowadays, hackers etc are far more influential than given credit for. In fact, this stunt is evidence as is.

It's pretty funny how such a large media giant can be manipulated so easily by a small determined group of people with a little bit of time and brainpower.

Actually, all it proves is that Time.com has piss poor security.

Of course, knowing some of the people who call themselves Anons, a few of them would've gotten around the security even if it was good.

Every once in a while, the vast, unwashed legions from the lowest, darkest corners of the Internets come forth to remind the rest of the world of their presence. They come out, do their thing, and then silently return from whence they came. It's almost beautiful, in a creepy way.

Wow, I'm quoting this. Great work.

his interview should have read, "i am going to go make soup now." and then ended.
