This is going to take soooo long. You're forgetting the predictability of the whole thing. There's only one of 3 moves a character will do, for some only 2 (lol Ness). in B-Moves only you can throw bombs with Link using A button? i wondered that long time ago when thinking about b-moves only. you can still use down B to throw the bomb but...

good point chuck, well i guess you could, but you run the risk of accidentally doing an A move if you don't unmap A. We should really carry this discussion over to my event

You need to change the event requirements. You need to unmap A and R. Throwing bombs with the A button is cheating in a B-only battle.

I'm a link NOOB. I've never thrown bombs with A. Looks like I could take this thing DOWN.

After actually playing around with this only b-move idea, I've come across a few conclusions:

Link should be in his own tier. He is actually functional. Noobs could be beaten with only b moves. This is my next idea to induce a galaxy rage.

Mario isn't as bad as I thought. 200% gave upb pretty good knockback on average. Fireballs were actually OK at edgeguarding.

DK isn't as good as I thought. You'll never land a down b because you can almost never force a tech or a roll and be ready for it. UpB is too predictable because there are only so many moves.

Ness is absolute garbage. I quit.

Falcon is about where I thought. The fact that the Doug Hug goes through shields is a nice benefit. Falcon Punch and Falcon Kick are among the better edgeguarding moves in b-only (and Doug Hug too). It's tough racking up damage, and he'll struggle in projectile heavy matchups.

Are B getup attacks allowed? Im assuming so.

^Those were the only characters I tested out. I started to lose my sanity. More may come (but probably not).

I've already taken into account that Link can only throw with down-b, I'm surprised you guys forgot about it. Link is still the best.

on DL you can even mixup by going high and edge cancelling the side platforms

see my thinking with link vs luigi is that link w/o a bomb is in a HORRIBLE position if he is above luigi. If link jumps to throw a boom, luigi can capitalize pretty easily. Hell link with a bomb not good above luigi cuz he can't A-throw lol

I think you're right.

Somewhat related: Does anyone know if pound to rest is a shieldbreak? I was too lazy to test it out when I was screwing around with b-only.

Falcon doesn't give a **** about shields he has up-b.

plenty of situations where a straight up Falcon Kick would be better than getting at point-blank range to hug them
