I can easily see bowser jr. Getting a dlc in Mario kart 8 and dr. Mario is just like the metal Mario in ssb4 roster and toad is important than those 3 charcters and I don't understand why did they put them instead of toad but I still think the roster looks good

Yeah, I heard of Wario's Woods, but it's not because he got his own gane that he is suddenly an important character (He is, but not really because of that game).

All I'll say about Toad is that I think his chances of ever being a playable character in Smash Bros. has significantly increased because of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Too late for this Smash no doubt, but maybe in another 7 or so years

Jolt Thunder, Puff Up, Aura Storm and Mysterious Ninja are not actual pokémon moves.
Ghosts are Pac-Man enemies, not allies.

I'd say that, among all of the cut veterans from both Melee and Brawl, he's the most likely to return and yet, it's Doc that showed up in Smash 4. I think Mewtwo's got a chance as potential DLC. If he doesn't, I'm okay with it, but it'd be great to see him on the roster once again.

I know it's a minor difference but without it, it just looks strange. And his head being smaller is something I haven't noticed until you've pointed out... that DOES look strange. lol So yeah, overall his trophy doesn't look very good.

As for the Mega forms, I won't really care if his final smash are Mega forms, just as long as the base character is regular Mewtwo, I'm cool with it.

I've always loved Toad. He's not the bravest or smartest or most effective ally and at times he has to be saved himself, but he still gets invited to play golf, drive go karts, play sports, or join parties. His friends like him in spite of the fact that he doesn't really stand out in any way. It's kind of a positive message (that's probably unintentional, but I choose to see it how I see it). Though his chances of being a Smash character I feel are pretty low, specifically because of Peach's move. That seems to be as much Smashing as Toad's going to be doing anytime soon.

As for Mewtwo, he was my favorite pokemon back when I played pokemon. In Smash though I never found him to be that great. He was fun, his dodge was nice, and I loved his throw animations, but I don't think I'd care to see him in Smash again without some move reworks. His side B and down B were pretty useless. If he was tweaked a little though then I'd be happy to see him back. Even if they made him a throw specialist, like the throw version of Little Mac. They could make his side B into a charging grab of some kind like Ganondorf's. Or a teleporting grab with lots of ending lag that would work like Meta Knight's teleport or Greninja's shadow thing. I suppose that wouldn't be as appealing to people who mained him how he already is though.

at this point, i would fall into the [Sakurai's] trap and pay money just to have Mewtwo back as a playable character, even if his moves only did 1% damage... a combo, perhaps?

That is because the minimal damage in combat is one, there is no 0 value programmed at all. However, in one of the first cutscenes in Colony 9 Reyn is controlled by Monado 1 and slashes at Fiora. She gets hit but is not cut in 2 or has any kind of wound.

As everybody was talking about Bravery Default's Agnes in the very previous articles (which I apologize to bringing up such subject again), I do disagree that she'll join the Smash team. Yes, she may be popular and her abilities may fit in Smash, but imo, Bravery Default is still minor in franchising. I may be wrong which I'm aware, but I doubt there are people mentioning her to SSB4 at all.

In my opinion, if you're gonna choose a character from Square Enix, it gotta be a game which is the main face of SE, which is Final Fantasy series. Yes, BD have a classical Final Fantasy element in it, but using the original FF seems understandable rather than any spin-offs. But there are so many characters in Final Fantasy to choose from, so which to choose? FF protagonists may be a best choice but it have to be one of the main protagonists from their own series, like the first version is Warrior of Light, and III is the Onion Knight. FF1~6 can be chosen since these sequels were sold for Nintendo back then, and we know we can't choose the series after 7 such as Cloud and Tidas because their series were later thrown to PS (which this also made Nintendo and SquareEnix's relationship break apart). If not them, maybe mascot-ish FF characters can be good, which is Moogle, Chocobo, Black Mage, etc. Moogles look kinda weaker than Jiggs and Black Mage doesn't appear in every FF series, so maybe Chocobo can be the most fitful character in Smash. Not as being a Yoshi clone, but can use magic like he did in his own dungeon game series. His final smash may be a problem, but how about summoning other Chocobos and attacking everybody like crazy...like those Cuccos do. (lol)

There is Dragon Quest on the side but this game isn't really that famous in the foreign since it was released really later than FF, but since their mascot character is the common enemy Slime, maybe he can join along with Chocobo and fight with him, like that Duck Hunt Dog. Secret of Mana series can be a good choice since they're moves are fitful to Smash and released a lot in Nintendo, but probably difficult since the series are stopped since the 4th sequal, and people hardly mention about the game since then, which is the sad thing. Kingdom Hearts will be extremely difficult to offer such crossover battle in Smash because KH also belongs to Disney, which is very strict when it comes with copyrights and it'll cost a lot of money, so sorry KH fans but Sora ain't gonna make it.


If I were to choose the two anime Mewtwo, I'd choose the left one. I don't know, but he look kinda cute for some reasons. (lol)

Actually, I feel like Anges is even more popular than Shulk. Shulk was only ever in one game, and that game was sold as a Gamestop exclusive overseas. Bravely Default is getting a sequel soon that will STAR Anges. Plus, her game has been sold everywhere, not just at Gamestop. I think Anges has the potential (at least if BD stays Nintendo exclusive, and keeps it's popularity) to be one of the new 3rd party characters in the next game.

I am fully expecting some sort of DLC, Lucas and Wolf for sure since they are very easy. New characters coming first for the wii u unless you connect also is something I see happening for marketing and hype purposes. The characters in the leak seem most likely, but I would rather have Rhythm girl over chorus kids.

For one I like the ladies, and 2 I think, given the ice climbers situation, makes more sense for her on a programming side. Unless the chorus kids count as 1 character, I don't see them in and in stead see them as part of her set. She has only been in one game but she appears a bunch outside of the games. She could be a good choice and incorperate a lot from the whole series.

Also wouldn't mind King K Rool over Dixie due to us getting another bad guy.

Still need to play Default (started but got distracted). She would be a good choice... but she is a square character, and honestly... I think we would get a Dragon quest character before we get her. Dragon quest is a classic nintendo series, almost always has been on nintendo systems, has an MMO on the nintendo, AND is probably squares BIGGEST franchises. We will see them before default. I wouldn't mind Agnes but I think Alena or Bianka have better chances

Bianka probably is the higher chance due to her being one of the most popular and recognizable characters in the series. Either are a good choice, and probably would get in over the hero who is nameless and different for every game

Yeah, I do agree she become a player instead...or Marshal on the other hand. I don't know who's the main character of the Rhythm Heavens series, but as much I say...if Ice Climbers were removed for "controlling multi-characters at once messes up the machine power", then why the Chorus Kids are acceptable when you control all three of them at once? It doesn't make any sense, sounds like discriminating Ice Climbers as being "not so popular among fans and/or Sakurai" at least.

With them wanting the Wii U version to sell, and to sell Wii Us, I think them having a few characters to hype it up for its release on the week before Black Friday would be genius. Three of the most discussed possible characters are from franchises more cared about in the west, while one is a Pokemon that is globally requested. So it'd be like showing off western characters for the holiday rush, and then a character with global appeal to grab the rest of the world. It makes sense and would be nice, but I'm trying to keep myself from being disappointed since I know that's quite always a possibility when dealing with characters I want in Smash.

That sounds like a good idea tbh, i hope it happens, but knowing Sakurai, it would probably go like this.

As far as the CSS and various leaks go, I have no idea what is true of fake (just like everyone else) and Sakurai is an unpredictable man, nothing will be known until the next Smash Direct (if there is one, otherwise, we wait 33 long hype-filling days)

I feel the same. As more games incorporate female characters, I seem to play as them more than male characters nowadays, if I'm given the option. Unless of course, if it's an RPG and I am representing myself.

I also feel like the advertising/representation factor is important, which is why I won't be surprised if Agnes is added in. While yes, there might be a lot gained from putting in a classic character, I feel like Square would like to put one of their more modern characters in, and Agnes would push sales for 2 different games, one currently in the shop and one to be real eased next year. Plus I think Anges could have a very unique moveset as well. All of the different classes in BD give her tons of possibilities. She could also have a bunch of different alts as her alternate costumes too because of the job system from BD. Man, I really need to get that game. I know this is off topic, but which game would you guys suggest if I were to get one? Fire Emblem: Awakening, or Bravely Default? I want a good RPG. I played the demo for both and enjoyed them thoroughly.
