Does could anyone here tell me how to do it. It would be sweet to be able to perform such a maneuver. Also, how plausible/practical is it to shine spike space animals out of their up b's? I can do it consistently on falco but not consistently on fox.
Speaking of shining: Sometimes when I'm playing my friend's Jiggs, he tries uthrow to rest, you know, the bane of all space animals. Sometimes I'm able to shine right before I hit his rest, thus avoiding instant death. Is this just a fluke, a bad followup on the Jiggs' part, or is there something more to this: Can it be done consistently?

I do that most of the time, but on the rare occasion that I miss, there's little hope but to spam shine and I don't know what else to do on that occasion.

a non-DI'd uthrow on jiggs should = rest until mid %s. Otherwise it's just a bad followup. on shinespiking ppl outta up-bs, use edge invincibility.

For the waveshine turnaround, I'm not to sure what your talking about but I think you mean this: Shine -> Jump -> Air Dodge -> Shine -> move the control stick to the other way -> Jump - Air dodge.

Just shine and move the control stick right and left, you'll see that you switch sides.

And um you need to move your finger really fast.

Whoa, I knew that spacies get screwed by that, but I didn't know they got screwed THAT badly (if they miss their DI). Sveet blitzed big time.

Shine Turnaround:
1. Shine
2. Hit opposite direction
3. Wavedash in desired direction
4. Rinse and repeat

fox is faster and with fox you have to shine before getting on him because if not you will get hit by the firefox (up b) but falco is slower so yo wont get hit as easily and its easier to get to him

I totally forgot about this thread Sveet, but I'm at school right now so I just e-mailed myself to check it when I get home. I'll totally give you 5 of my ego points after I watch it though~ I'm guessing it was a UAir > Rest or something though?

I was referring to watching the video, Sveet.

So, I watched it. Had no idea that if they timed the midair-jumps right, that they could get it. Guess the one Jiggly player here in LA doesn't do it right? Here goes~

Sudai -5 Ego points.
Sveet +5 Ego points.

Enjoy them~ : P

as long as you DI the u-throw you will be fine, as for the problem with shinespikeing recovering space animals, you should try using invulnerability frames from when you grab the ledge.
i would recommend trying to either wavdash on the ledge and shine with right timing, or hang on the ledge, drop-rehang-shine.

and for your maneuver, i guess its possible, so just practice a lot.

As for the shine spiking... (hardly play against Jiggs, so can't help you much on that one)
If you are talking about when Falco is just sitting there, that is due to his Up-B doesn't damage when he is in the air, sitting there. If you are talking about when Fox/Falco are moving, the best way to shine spike them is to keep to the edge, and keep the inv. frames going (just keep dropping down then grabbing again). Then, when the Fox/Falco starts to move, jump back up front of them and...
