The Use Of The System Files (Looking For Help, And Testers)

Most of us know what common5.pac and common3.pac do (for those of you who don't, common5.pac controls the pictures for the characters on the opening screen and common3.pac controls the item textures), but what about the other 3.

I am trying to find out what common.pac, common2.pac, and common4.pac do and right now I am working on the iso and extracting the files, but if someone else could tell me before, that could be very useful.

It could be the online friend pictures that are next to your Bio. I'm just guessing

I'll try asking someone like Vile to do so, I think it would be amazing if we could get CUPASH for Stages essentially.

You only need 3 things:

Pictures for the large view, picture for the small one, and picture for the switch stages one (possibly one more for the large view of it).

Those are in the menu.pac file and are +2 textures.

Hey Shadowtroop, can you do me a favor. For some reason my comp hates me, but if I send you files, can you try to SSBExtract them properly because for some reason, my comp hates me, a lot of the stuff works for Picano.

So far I've noticed:

common2_en.pac handles what I presume everything that involves text, or at least the menus. It probably also handles the title screen.

common_en.pac and common4_en.pac mostly handle the character items, or at least projectiles, and attributes, like Sheik's needles and Zero Suit Samus' blaster.

Do you mean the animation that plays on the disc channel? If so, that's opening.bnr on the data partition.

No, that's in the menu.pac.

There is no menu.pac....... There is menu_main.pac and menu_rules.pac, but no menu.pac. And neither of those seem to work.

i've seen people change the menu to super smash bros clash on some youtube thing. would that be possible for brawl+ or is that only possible with ISO hacking?

I am going to see if I can, I found some very very weird stuff inside the system files. Like I was shocked what I found.

I found:

A) A realistic picture of a leaf.
B) Kirby textures for a Kirby hammer that was never used
C) More random crap.

I am wondering if it can load Menu_en.pac or if I have to extract it and the like.

Great, now I need to find a Brawl ISO, which is legal because I own the game, yay! Personally, I only care about common 1 and 4, but 2 can further the refining of Brawl+.
