Alternate costumes - with or without effects on their actual fighting. Probably I would prefer without any effects but cosmetic ones. So a Dr. Mario costume could come with pills, but pills that behave just like Mario's fireballs.

Or better than costumes having effects on their fighting - an alternate mode where you can screw around with some of the character's variables, with trade-offs. So in this alternate mode, you could make Mario heavier and a little stronger, but lower his jump and speed a little bit - essentially creating Dr Mario yourself. And then you could do this for any character. So it would basically be like making clones, but not, since they wouldn't take up any character slots (and no subtle differences in special moves). Playing with a fast, light Bowser against a heavy powerhouse Pit...

Any missing special moves. If giving the special moves of characters we're only missing one move for (e.g. Snake, each of the Pokemon Trainer's pokemon, etc.) it better come with moves for multiple characters, or something else in addition to it (such as a stage).

Particularly, I want Zelda updates. Although I admit that's partially related to a character update, in that more info on Zelda gives us more info on whether Sheik will be in, and how s/he will be implemented (down B, FS or separate character?)

Some more information about the kind of things possible in the stage builder would be nice as well. Perhaps including an example of what a very sophisticated stage made with it could look like (the ones in the update were nice and all, but are they the best looking you can get, or could it be even more polished?)

How about...a Metroid Prime series stage, or a Mario Paint themed stage update.
Huh, how about ANY METROID PRIME REP PERIOD? The only way that series has been shown at all is 1 of samus alt costumes is based on the dark suit from echoes. Thats really enough sakurai :b

go ahead, let your personal bias prioritize over the fact that the prime series brought Samus back from the dead. Metroid isn't big again because of fusion or zero mission. So i'd like to see anything that hints that maybe he's not completely ignoring that series. A stage, a song, an item a character, whatever.

i say online tournaments teams n singles update n u look at the top players on a nintendo site. since u can't see names online, u should b able 2 customize ur characters looks wit a bunch of items u can attach 2 ur character. classic stages from smash 64 remade into brawl graphics n balance out.. link stage where the tornado is bigger n less knockback if it hits u. make the stage a lil bigger n give more space from the green lil covering from the wall that is on the right side. saffron city make it a lil bigger wit different pokemon coming out the door. change the setting from day to night. make the building on the right wider to fight on. bring bak samus stage also where it was bigger, had a floating platform n the lava was stronger since in brawl everyone lives longer.

These are great ideas, epically alternate costume with different LOOKING moves.

These are great ideas and there isn't an online tournament that would just be stupid, so I expect that one as well as the classic stages.

I come from the land of the ice and snow..
I want that song from the Sonic entrance video as an update. That song was sweet.

Also, I want an Event Matches update, just so I can stop worrying about whether or not they're back.

Finally, Board the Platforms would make my day, and maybe a new mini-game that we haven't seen before.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I was thinking of this one for a while now.

Maybe there could be a Boss Rush mode for SSE, kinda like they had in some of the Kirby Games. It'd work sorta like All-Star mode from Melee. You pick a character, and in between each fight you go to a little lobby(ideally themed after a different Nintendo series each time depending on your character, like Mario Lobby, Zelda Lobby, etc, but that's a little outrageous).

In the lobby there's hearts, and trophies or CDs or whatever rewards you get for the bosses. Anyway, it should have the same 5 difficulties as SSE, and the higher the difficulty the rarer the trophies/music. Maybe for clearing it in a certain time/difficulty you could even unlock a character or stage?

Boss Rush is one of the best ideas I've heard, Hobo, though it'd have to be unlockable by completing SSE as to not spoil the story.

Thanks. And yeah, it'd have to be unlockable, but it doesn't sound like it would be too hard to implement, since they'd mostly be recycling material they already used, and it'd give you a chance to fight any boss with anyone.

Here is what I would like to see.

1: The ability to turn the C-Stick off in multi-Player. If you new to the game, then use it. If not, use an A-Charge.

2: Online tourneys. Would keep me busy on a Friday night.

3: Keyboard on in name entry. It takes me about five minuets to type "hi".

4: Random Character select: Ice-Climbers: off, Pichu (if back) OFF.

I'll post more later-

Select your entrance!
(You can unlock a few entrances, maybe 3 max, and pick your favorite.)

Pig Bean Army assist trophy. Tons of soldiers raid you, some what like Pit's final smash, but maybe more ground based, and a little more intense.

Gosh, I really can't think of anymore at the moment, I'm so content with what Brawl already has to give us, it just makes it hard to think a few up, haha.

Just had an idea, sorry to necro if a week is too long to wait...

But it would be good if there were character specific things in the training mode, and if the training mode was just generally more helpful by giving you tips on how to do some techniques.

This might not be necessary if the game manual is detailed enough, but it would be nice for the training mode to give you information like whether the character you're using can walljump and things like that. It would also be nice if the training mode included information about some of the more advanced techniques. It would've been cool had Melee told you how to wavedash and had the training mode actually be useful for something. As it was in Melee, using training mode wouldn't likely improve your skills doing anything except for non-offensive techniques - it could help you practice wavedashing. But it wouldn't help you do that unless you already knew about it. And you didn't even need it anyway, you could practice that just as easily by playing a two player (human) match without the second player.

But I was also specifically thinking of things like explaining how stamina works for the Pokemon Trainer.

Wherever McFox tells me I am.
I have a couple things I would not like to see.

I would not like to see another character/delay update.

I would not like to see more udates on what we saw at E For All.

I would not like to see any more "How To Play" updates.

I would not like to see a certain moveset... again.

I would not like to see any more "from previous games" updates.

I would love to see Full Screen Support confirmed, though.
