Just to let it be known. This is my first blog.
I just chased away some robbers from our house. yeah.
It was about 1 AM and my parents were fast asleep. I was just checking the Boards to see what's new and I decided to open my window to bring in the breeze. I left it open for a while until I heard a rather peculiar noise. A rustle in the bushes. I stand up and approach my open window. I look outside (my room's on the second floor) and I can't see anything other than some light reflecting off of our family's three cars. I figure it was just some rabbit or something because the sound was barely audiable. I just shrug, but decide to close the blinds. I sit back down with my laptop for a while, but I hear a different noise than before. The type of sound you hear from something man-made . . . like a wrench or a handle to a car door. I stand back up and listen to what's exactly making the noise. I figure my parents were opening their window from the room over, but the noise lingerd about for too long. I get even more suspicious and try to look through the blinds. I can't really see much, but I hear things a little more clearly. Muffled voices pervaded through the sound of crickets, along with the metallic pings and chings of something being mechanical being opened. . .
I knew, without a doubt, that someone was trying to break in . . . but to what exactly. Our driveway has three cars, but I couldn't see the third since it's directly below my window. The little light from my room couldn't shine onto the car so I couldn't see for certain. But next to our driveway was our garage. Plus, our garage has a faulty window so they could possibly be trying to get in through there. Regardless of what their target was, I knew I had to defend my home, my territory, my solace. I was the only one awake. The responsibility of defending the manor was up to me. I had to react quick, for time was of the essence. I had dwadled too long already by trying to figure out what the noise was. So I drew upon my skills of being a black belt in Tae Kwon Do along with the instinct of being a man and did the first thing that came to mind in trying to rid my humble abode of the robbers.
I let out a loud whistle.
One of the robbers yelled, "****" and they both ran off through the neighborhood with their talls between their legs. I saved the day. I struck fear into their hearts with a mear whistle.
btw they tried to steal the radio from my car. I should lock that blasted thing -__-
When I woke up my parents, my dad didn't really seen to worry while my mom was worried sick. My sister coulda cared less.
