and also.. hmm i forgot who i met at the AllYOuCAnSmash tournament they were from the south side ish and it was there first tournament one mains as Samus and the other as Luigi I believes they were brothers. One of them worked around Irving Park/Kedzie o_o i dunno Who THEY BE o_o

I think I can have a tourny in 2 weeks guys, and then I could have a brawl tourny about a week after it comes out. how bout it? would some of you be willing to come down to springfield cuz I'd be glad to host it

I just realized how many of the new players are like 16ish years old. It's so weird to hear people saying they can't go because they have no ride or something. Lol, those were the days..

If one were to go to a University and possibility of hosting a tournament at their university how does one ask for permission for a vacant space? o_o

I got to U of I and i just keep meeting different people to smash with. Its pretty fun, I reccommend going to college here....but not just ot play smash, for other stuff too.

SOME people have very good reasoning for being unable to drive legally. :mad:

We were already planning on having a tourney for Brawl right when it comes out at The Cave, also toying with the idea of having an all night lock-in the saturday that it comes out. Would anyone be interested in that. For our lock-ins we charge $20, its all the gaming you can get in from 9 or 10 pm to 9 or 10 am the next morning the price also includes some pizza and pop, I'll give more details if I get enough people interested.. We currently have 1 Wii, thinking we need another one soon. Plus if anyone esle wants to bring one, plus we still have SSBM and xbox360 and comps people can chill on for the night.

We are located about 1hr west of chicago. if you guys are interested let me know so I can work on the logistics.

lol a lockin hm? it comes out on a saturday. ._. =/ maybe you should do it when all the college people are done with final exams cause the following monday is study day followed by exams

Could be cool. Mayhaps you and I can work some thing out in regards to a set up.

Question: After the lockin, will you be open during the day?

Cause it might be better to have the tourney during the day?

Would it be a friday going to into saturday?

That sounds good. I'm not so sure on the tourney right off the bat. A lot of people are going to want to spend the time to start unlocking everything/get familiar with the game. Now I'm not saying a lock-in wouldn't be bad, and with some pizza, even better [I'm assuming due to youngins there will be no byob] so i guess it's up to the general consensus. I'm more interested in knowing if the Cave will be selling copies of brawl, since you sell other games as well. If so, I'd like to reserve one here instead of somewhere else and that pretty much implies that I'd be in for the lock-in. And i could certainly bring a Wii. Otherwise I'm going to have to reserve it locally and most likely go home and not sleep for a week.

The lock-in sounds pretty tight, but I'm not sure about having a tourney so soon after launch. I'd rather spend time unlocking stuff and getting used to the new game (as well as seeing if it's tourney material).
