I may never grace your presence with my Peach...

My Turnips shed a tear at the thought :/

On a more serious note, does ANYTHING Brawl related happen in the UK? I've always been under the impression Melee does well but nobody really plays Brawl :( Which is no good, I never even bothered to learn how to wavedash on Melee. Hell, I can't even L Cancel and the last time I tried playing Melee I struggled to get a ground Float going with Peach

I'm soooo bad at Melee lol

Well me and Brado host tourneys here in Leicester where there is a tourney for Brawl. Although I can't hold another for a while (last one was December 12th), Brado may be hosting something soon once he finds a new venue.

I sucked at Melee till like 2months ago where I've now been practicing quite a bit. Once you get to grips with L cancelling wavedashing etc it's pretty easy.

The north isn't quite dead. Jo3 is still active in national tournements, and while I haven't made a national event, I still travel to london events and other local events. Also the NW still play each other, it's just not high profile. Both of us are still improving, and I will be willing to say I'm hoping to give my best performance yet at London, maybe get a bit of respect back for the north?

There are other players, but due to less activity/not travelling as much, it does give the impression of a dead community, but London used to be like that, does anyone remember Puffy?

NW tourney scene is dead due to a lack of hosts, which then drove the players away.

Greetings. Several people have brought to my attention that UK threads are still too spammy at times. Fuzzy's activity is pretty good (there are ways to monitor that), whether he's too lax at times or not. In my opinion, a good solution would be to add a UK mod. There used to be two, but Aiko quit, which basically puts the entire burden on Fuzzyness alone. Volunteers can shoot me a PM.

(Professor Pro, don't bother. ;/)

Can you not add my name here please for no reason...

It singles me out amongst the community which I find pretty embarrasing and I find it quite offending you trying to turn it down for me when I didn't ask :ohwell:

An apology is due.....

You have a pink name and a Fox avatar, I think you'll live through the embarrassment I caused you.

It would be good to see another mod around. I know the UK likes to have a bit of fun but sometimes it does get out of control.

Well it's only pink because someone pranked me.

Anyway you still used my name negatively when I haven't done anything to you.

And that ain't ok, I felt like you were singling me out, I have changed if you haven't noticed and all i've been doing lately is trying to help the community out.

So I would so that I still should be up for getting that position but if I don't then I understand :(

Professor Pro: The comment was made in jest, because you are notorious (despite positive changes!). No malice intended.:)

I was actually lying and im still the same loool.

I just wanted an apology :bee:

But seriously on a serious note.
I think it's only fair that we get a brawler instead of a melee player, reasons for this is because the melee players mostly deal with the melee stuff.

And we need a combination of both in this community.

PP: Too bad, I seldomly apologize. :p Your remark about it being a Brawler seems only fair, but we need suitable candidates.

Fuzzy: Some people have complained. It's not dramatic, but I don't think it's entirely "okay" either.

There have been moments where it has become quite bad on the boards, even if it isn't atm

While I have nothing against it being a brawl player, I think the main concern is a person who is actually going to be a mod, instead of a player with mod status. As the uk threads normally contain both melee and brawl, I don't see it being a problem in terms of interests, especially as Charles plays both.
Just my thoughts.

Well im not saying this cuz of favouritism but if there is to be a new UK mod it should be Myself or Calzorz, i would have said willz but hes too childish lol. I say Myself because i come on and check these boards everyday usually, and besides, Myself and Calzorz are the only people that really travel to tournies outside of London to tournaments, and i think if there is to be a new Mod it should be some1 from the East Midlands, i cast my vote on Calzorz since i wotn vote for myself :)

to be honest we shouldn't worry whether they are a brawler or not, it should just be the best candidate, melee player or brawl doesnt matter

oh yeah i'm a scrub and still making valid contributions to serious issues

what about Tamoo? :p i expect some of you to laugh he does go to all the tournaments and host sometimes and he posts on and views the boards quite regularly or maybe TC?

lol Some brawlers like Calzors, Kira and Trio3 have been asking to do it.

These are all respectable members amongst the brawl society
Dont like to brag but were also the top3 Brawlers in the UK xD, Kira is never on the boards though DAYUM.

Calzorz or Trio3 sounds fair to me, though Trio is usually more active.
