Little Mac's rise in particular has been interesting, since nothing's really changed for him since the release of the older poll, whereas Palutena's dominance as the Kid Icarus frontrunner has become increasingly obvious and Dixie has her new playable appearance boosting her up. All Mac has had has been the new Smash Dojo stage.

This poll has a lot more equally dispersed votes between communities. Smashboards, and Reddit do dominate, but NeoGAF, 4chan, and even GameFAQs and NintendoLife have a good amount of votes in. This is the first time I'm having 4chan take part in the group poll as well. Overall, I think we will see a few key changes, because my other poll was started a year ago today. Things were MUCH different back then.

Dixie, as well as Cranky have seen a big boost in popularity. Another thing I think we will see is less Mario votes. Rosalina seems to be detering them.

People love them their Smash polls. Based on the previous ones, getting up to 1,000 is quite easy, then it takes a bit of advertising from then on out.

Considering how late the game is into development, and how this poll will continue past the disconfirmation of at least several of its characters, this poll is basically the earliest possible glance into who people want in SSB5.
