I don't get why you responded to my post, but... validity of that post aside, those are not Sakurai's words, and they do not sum up half of the variables put into character decision: 5 clone characters in Melee for the sake of upping roster count, Dr. Mario's music being more sought after than himself, Snake being included out of personal relations, Villager being targeted as unfitting and being announced next game, characters that don't finish development but were initially planned, and whichever Pokemon is flavor of the month is all proof of much more behind the scenes.

That's not close to the summary of the Smash Bros. development, all of that comes from Thinkaman listening to Sakurai, not Sakurai. Don't correct our summaries.

I'm a bit surprised that Palutena is more the character from Kid Icarus people want than Medusa or Hades. Medusa would be a more interesting character than Palutena for sure.

As the poll is about characters we want, I've voted for Banjo and Kazooie, they would have a very unique moveset and be very unique characters anyway. Still I'm pretty sure they won't be in SSB4 as they are nowaday part of the Microsoft universe. I would be really surprised if Nintendo would ask Microsoft for the permission to put Banjo and Kazooie in SSB4. It's not totally out of question as Microsoft at least gave Rare the possibility to develop games for Nintendos mobile consoles, but it's still pretty unlikely.

Barring one or more of the three getting revealed (or deconfirmed, maybe), or something drastic, like Nintendo buying back Banjo-Kazooie, they'll likely stay right there for the foreseeable future.

I don't remember whether I said this before, but it would be cool to see data on the rises and falls of characters as far as placements in each update (if anyone not busy getting laid can be arsed to collect it). Toad, for example, will likely experience the latter over the next few months.

and adding: Eevee, Dedenne, Slyveon, Wonderful 101 Heroes, and Dr. Kawashima.

Do you think I should cut back any Pokemon from Gen V at this point? I have Meloetta, Victini, Genesect, and Zoroark on there. Gen III has three choices, and Gen II and Gen IV have one. Just to put it into perspective.

If Skull Kid has the Majora's Mask, he's Majora controlling Skull Kid. It should stay the way it is.
