Noi's crazy?I think Noi has lost it

That Nintendo check gotta be heavyWe as Smash fans take for granted the legal ****ery that probably goes on behind the scenes in regards to DLC character licensing in Smash.
Looking at what happens if you don't have a solid contract like DBD, where they've lost two playable killers(Albeit they were able to salvage 1 of them), really makes you appreciate that a little bit more.
this is surprisingly accurate, minus a few details. There’s travel in your future when your tongue freezes to the back of a speeding bus.
Fill that void in your pathetic life by playing Whack-a-Mole 17 hours a day.
That and sales of their games from Nintendo only people when they bring stuff over might be enticing as well. I don't think you get motion like that with X-Box, and often times, Sony's the console default. That Nintendo check gotta be heavy
Even Fortnite runs into problems here and thereWe as Smash fans take for granted the legal ****ery that probably goes on behind the scenes in regards to DLC character licensing in Smash.

In Fortnite though those are just skins though, right? Like, it sucks that you lose a potential IP you like, but at the end of the day, every Fortnite player plays the exact same.Even Fortnite runs into problems here and there
Sakurai randomly dropping that Kingdom Hearts was "coming" to the Switch in the middle of Sora's reveal, I know Disney was laughing to the bank. That and sales of their games from Nintendo only people when they bring stuff over might be enticing as well. Oh no DBD's situation is absolutely worse, I was just agreeing with the sentiment that Smash's licensing not requiring things to get removed is a small miracle. Even Mii costumes are good.In Fortnite though those are just skins though, right? Like, it sucks that you lose a potential IP you like, but at the end of the day, every Fortnite player plays the exact same.
Meanwhile, in like, a month, you won't be able to buy Pinhead, meaning new players can never play as him and they won't have a good idea how to play against him.
which ones did they loose? We as Smash fans take for granted the legal ****ery that probably goes on behind the scenes in regards to DLC character licensing in Smash.

And then there's Friday the 13th: The Game, where you can't play the game anymore period thanks to the franchise's own legal ****ery. We as Smash fans take for granted the legal ****ery that probably goes on behind the scenes in regards to DLC character licensing in Smash.

They’re getting better at it though. Obviously stuff related to the season itself, like special items and whatnot are gone, but they try to rotate skins and are making it clear that newer Battle Passes are no longer exclusive.Even Fortnite runs into problems here and there
I think it's really only a problem with big ongoing games like this. Like... NRS licenses a lot of characters for it's games and they've never had to remove one after launch. And then there's Friday the 13th: The Game, where you can't play the game anymore period thanks to the franchise's own legal ****ery.
Hellraiser (Pinhead) and Stranger Things (Demogorgon)which ones did they loose?
Try engines that allow for visual scripting. Godot has some add-ons that can allow for that (Orchestrator)God I wish there was a game engine with no coding. Like you just set all your values with GUI elements.
I'm trying to learn the Godot engine and even parsing the tiny amount of coding the video is trying to teach me is scrambling my brain.
Honestly part of me wishes I could just tell the damn computer what I want it to do in english.Try engines that allow for visual scripting. Godot has some add-ons that can allow for that (Orchestrator)
So Python?Honestly part of me wishes I could just tell the damn computer what I want it to do in english.
I wanna write a paragraph in my native tongue and for the computer to understand it and do it. I shouldn't have to learn it's language, it is a tool for me to use. It should have to learn mine.So Python?
Well not actually but still
The Demogorgon and Pinhead.which ones did they loose?
I feel bad for people who have wanted Jason in DBD for years. And then there's Friday the 13th: The Game, where you can't play the game anymore period thanks to the franchise's own legal ****ery.
Oh that sucks about Hellraiser. Hopefully they can convince him sometime. I mean... why wouldn't he want the passive income stream from it?The Demogorgon and Pinhead.
For Demogorgon, Netflix didn't renew their license with them, and for a long while, Demogorgon and the characters that came with it were just unable to be purchased. HOWEVER, they worked out a deal with Netflix and got all of them back, seemingly forever.

As for Pinhead, the rights to Hellraiser got moved back to Clive Barker, the original writer, and afaik, he doesn't like/care enough about DBD to want to renew the license. Coupled with the Hellraiser NFT fiasco and it's all sorts of ****ed.

Legal ****'s weird.Oh that sucks about Hellraiser. Hopefully they can convince him sometime. I mean... why wouldn't he want the passive income stream from it?
I wanna say "this is why we need to get rid of copyright" but without copyright so many of the things I love would no longer be... organized. They would just be... wild. No categories. No Pantheons. No shared identity between related franchises..... what is there to do?Legal ****'s weird.
Look at Freddy Krueger in DBD. It's not the classic Freddy. It's the one from the remake, and he's silent. He doesn't utter a single quip.

I thought they added the real one in later? And then there's Ghostface.
DBD techinically.... doesn't have the rights to Scream as an IP......kinda.... sorta... it's complicated.
They have the rights to the MASK, because the Mask existed before Scream, but they basically made Ghostface their own OC who just happens to act exactly like he does in Scream.
Maybe as a skin, I'm unsure, but the Ghostface you play as without a skin is an OC.I thought they added the real one in later?
Chipping in on this conversation just to express surprise at the fact that the Ghostface mask was not an original creation for the movie. They have the rights to the MASK, because the Mask existed before Scream
oh really? WB owns that. I wouldn't think it would ever get delisted.Maybe as a skin, I'm unsure, but the Ghostface you play as without a skin is an OC.
Which then reminds me that Mortal Kombat 9 got delisted because Netherrealm's contract for Freddy expired.
For ****s and giggles they should put the Ghostface from Scary Movie in over the actual one.And then there's Ghostface.

Yeah, the mask predates Scream by a few years.Chipping in on this conversation just to express surprise at the fact that the Ghostface mask was not an original creation for the movie.
You learn something new every day.![]()
Oh god he really has lost it.What’s your zodiac sign?
Believe it or not, but the Scary Movie mask is/was a cosmetic you could get.For ****s and giggles they should put the Ghostface from Scary Movie in over the actual one.
I like the songs they've picked for needle drops so far, Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach do feel suitably Devil May Cry, I do hope they bring in some actual DMC music at some point though.Man, I feel so mixed cause it certainly feels like Devil May Cry but they recast Vergil. JYB as Dante takes getting used to cause he voices Nero, sure, but Dan Southworth's more nasal voice is iconic and this new guy isn't even trying to sound like that
