Yeah pretty sure it's just common courtesy to not let doors slam in people's faces.
I've been watching Star Trek: The Next Generation for the first time; I've heard the first two seasons aren't great, but I'm enjoying the episodes that I've seen so far.
Oh it totally gets better as it goes on.

I didn't even seek the show out myself, I was just in the room playing Gameboy or whatever when my brother would turn it on and every time I'd just drop what I was doing cause that **** is just captivating.

Deep Space 9 is even better imo.

I only really hold doors for people if their hands are full. Maybe I'm crazy but most people here seem to do the same thing. Maybe it's just be a cultural thing. shrug

I know when I went to visit family in the D.C. area strangers would go way out of their way to hold doors open for everyone even if I wasn't that close behind them and it was just so weird to me. It was like the Canada stereotype.

Part 1 of my 4 part 3D Mario summoning ritual is complete!

I had more fun with Mario 64 than I expected, I've gotten more used to the controls and I've gotta say It's a wonder they managed to make controlling Mario so smooth in 1996. However my biggest issue with the game would have to be the physics. If Mario so much as grazes a slope he immediately drops into a slide and slips across the entire stage. If he blinks at an edge he'll just fall and next thing you know you're dead. It's obnoxious.

Aw well, enough of that. Now onto phase 2, Super Mario Sunshine!
What do you mean there is a sanrio character simply named "Big Challanges" that was AWOL since 1978.

What are phases 3 and 4? Because there are more than 4 3D Mario games.

I am not proud of myself. I am cringe and should not be free.

Also in case you're wondering my ships are Tails/Cosmo, Sonic/Amy, Knuckles/Rouge, Vector/Vanilla, Eggman/Stone and Silver/Blaze

I also really like Tangle/Whisper fanart but I feel like I need to read more of the comics to truly add that to my list
Confession, I used to be big on shipping Sonic x Blaze back in the day

Some advice to make Sunshine as enjoyable as possible:

•Don't use the hover nozzle for all of your platforming.
It works, but it's slow and triple jumps, spin jumps, and diving are way more fun.

•Speaking of diving, just use it constantly.
Most fun version of the move in the series, especially when you dive through a water puddle and start sliding around the level at light speed.

•Talk to NPCs a lot.
Their dialogue changes throughout the game and it adds to the charm of Sunshine taking place on one island.

•Don't fight the jank, embrace it.
This is kind of a joke and kind of not.
Most of the weird physics **** still runs on a sort of logic and if you get a feel for it you can work with it.

So that smash “leak” that was posted yesterday wasn’t even the fun rumor. Saw this video come up and cover it:

I thought this was ridiculous before but cutting the stages down to 50 when you could port all of them easily just like the characters.

Also thinking Sakurai will ever want to do subspace style cutscenes again is crazy. Let alone being able to do it in two years.

Ngl the character updates it mentions would be peak.

God decided to put Yami yugi/Kaiba shipping art on my bluesky timeline dispite me not even looking for that stuff and idk how to feel
Crazy ship considering Yami killed him twice.

And that was just because he stole his grandpa’s card. He didn’t tear it up on their first meet.

The only reason the monsters pop out the Duel Disks in the show is because Kaiba was literally so traumatized from that night to the point where his only coping mechanism was to recreate it in digital form or else he just relives it in nightmares.

Finished Superstar Saga again. Cackletta is still a pain in the ass.

Anywho, is Partners in Time worth playing?
Imo it has a weird control scheme that really messes with your muscle memory if you played any other game in the series. If you can get past that, then it's still fun and rhe writing is still pretty solid.

But of the OG 4, it's the weakest imo

Replayed all the games before brothership got revealed last year and I think it’s the weakest after paper jam unfortunately imo.

Not much to the story, final boss is mid, but the bros moves are really fun.

It’s still the pretty fun though so it might be worth a playthrough if you haven’t.

Geez a lot of ship madness went down while I was asleep.

Aww, don't put yourself down like that. Cringe or not, if you enjoy Sonic shipping, you SHOULD be free to enjoy it. I don't believe in cringe culture.

And as for the rest of y'all making jokes about how Jess' ship list is "basic": listen, some shippers tend more towards canonically hinted ships and that's okay. I'm glad Jess enjoys the ships she mentioned. (Yes I know y'all were mostly joking around, but I just felt like it needed to be said.)
