Now I guess I answer the question if I like YYH or HxH more. That's somewhat of a debate and tbh... they're significantly different types of anime. Even then, I'd say their equal. HxH has the higher highs but YYH stays consistent in the banger department. No need to debate and compare, both are goated I fear.

I gotta be honest, from the beginning I never expected this movie to actually be all that great. My excitement comes from the fact that this movie was announced almost a decade ago and it’s finally coming out.

As long as it’s not an absolute train wreck, I’ll be satisfied.

From what I'm hearing it's just boring and imo that's the worst the movie can be. Either be good or so dog**** thaf it's ironically good, not the in between.

Also, as more (presumably negative) reviews come out, rememberView attachment 379760
I've seen some movies that got high critical scores on Rotten Tomatoes that I cannot for the life of me understand why.

At the end of the day, it's best that one simply forms their own opinion on a film and whether or not they like it, but it's always nice to see a film you really enjoyed and think deserves some positive reception get praise from audiences and/or critics alike.

I mean yeah I agree that forming your own opinion is the best, but ngl... I think Rotten Tomatoes may actually be right on this one. But truthfully, I never had high hopes for this one

Between FNaF having trouble telling stories outside of the games in the mainline series (up until Security Breach anyway) and video game movie adaptations having a history of being a mixed bag (most frequently just plain bad), I didn't want to get my hopes up but the film does look like it has potential.

We'll see how it goes once it's released for audiences, I suppose.

Looking at the reviws, a big gripe seems to be the plot which

Yeah, that tracks
This reminds me of when FNaF 2 and FNaF 3 were still new and people treated it like it was the worst thing to ever happen to existence.

FNAF is soo bad at storytelling the whole Miketrap vs Willtrap stands as a testament to that.

When you can't even properly explain to your audience who is who says a lot.

Tbh the FNAF movie for me was DOA when I found out it was three+ hours long.

Like idk what Scott was cooking but there is nothing in FNAF that can be stretched to three hours of runtime. Heck, the games are like 20 minutes a pop.

apparently it's not. It's close to 2 but the 3 hour thing was a rumor.

Markiplier stretched out all of the games in the series pretty far with tons of Let's Play videos for each. :4pacman:

Honestly, maybe a hot take, but Ruin actually felt like the series was getting its act together.

No Heady was actually kinda frightening due to the stomach hatch mouth, and Monty and Chica both had great ruined designs.

But then they had to pull a fakeout emotional scene with Roxy, who totally got 'redeemed' because the fanbase loves her(For, reasons)

And then of course, THE MIMICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

You know, I will say one thing. Horror movies that get bad reviews always consistently say one thing "it's fun when the monster is on screen killing people, that just doesn't happen enough". And I wonder why nobody ever learns their lesson from that and people still try to do weird drama with weird pointless flesh bags.

The Batman is such a modern masterpiece.

To compare. The MCU is like having the same cereal every day.

The Batman, you decide to change that breakfast routine and instead have something different like bacon and eggs.
PLEASE.
STOP.
BRINGING.
THIS.
TOPIC.
UP.

Yes, The Batman is a great movie and yes the MCU is in a slump right now.
That doesn't mean you should bring it up every week.
