I heard my grandfather on my father's is not doing well and likely will pass away within the week. At 98 years old this was not surprising, but it still hit me hard enough to leave me depressed all day. What make this hurt more is that he's my last living grandparent. I wish I could go up and see him one last time.

This is really painting a rather bad light of the entertainment industry and things will get from bad to worse if this continues.

I saw that earlier and multiple ceos were trying to kiss ass to get them not to strike. Even though the SAG-AFTRA agreed to a mediator, seems very likely they will still strong.

Which means all these companies will be wasting billions, empty office Buildings, empty sets, no cashback on anything already in production, no way to make future money because they can’t film, stock decreases, etc. the list goes on if all the ways they’ll be screwed over and lose billions for this tactic.

Which good, because **** them for trying to treat people like that. They aren’t lap dogs or people who have to do what a company says. They are real people who want to do this and do it in a fair and respectful manner, unlike the current state.

Hope they come out on top because they W could honestly revolutionize unions and others industries because no one else will want to go through strikes ever again.

Hopefully the writers can hold on. I think the 2007 strike lasted about 5 months so this is just about the halfway point sadly.

Not sure what to say which hasn't been said before by other people here, but yeah this is ****ty as ****.

Film execs who think they should get away with letting writers or any of their workers starve to death should not go clean from all of this, they deserve to lose profits and money from this sad scheme they are trying to do.

If the writers and actors guild do succeed with this, it could be a huge win for us. Basically because It would prove as I said time and time again that by moving out and standing against these big companies we can do anything to improve the world around us. So yeah, I'm deeply rooting for the writers and actors here. They deserve better working conditions and better salaries.

Seems like a good time to start reading more books/comics/manga.

I GOT ALL OF THE VIVILLON PATTERNS. MY LIVING DEX IS COMPLETE

Well, aside from most transferrable Pokémon, that is. I have a limited supply of some of these and I prefer to keep them as part of my HOME living dex, and most of the native Paldea Pokémon I got for my living dex now are gonna be added to that as well eventually.

I also don't have every gender difference, but most of them are too minor for me to consider looking for all of them... For the moment, at least.

AITA for assaulting my gf's dad? Yesterday, I (37m) went to my gf's (18f) high school graduation to pick her up, and take her to my place. We agreed on this as soon as her finals were over. Well, I swung by, called her out by name as she was taking pictures with her family, and explained to her fam who I was (we never met). Well, her parents weren't having it, her mom looked mortified for no reason, and her dad was a little agressive (idk why, toxic if you ask me). He was calling me names such as "disgusting pervert" and told me to stay away from his daughter. Well, I got in his face and told him off, but he wasn't budging, so I went to grab my gf but he pushed me away from her, so I punched him. Well he proceeded to kick my ass, and ruined my gfs graduation. But I feel bad for some reason (probably stockholm) and I want to apologize to her. Reddit, Am I the Asshole?
