When the first game came out I had to sleep with the lights on for weeks. The series still makes me jumpy at night sometimes.

For context, I was in High School when the first game came out.
The only time the series really scared me to my core was when the first game came out. I was twelve.

Coincidentally, my mom and my sister had to go somewhere one night. Leaving me alone in my house.

I wasn't entirely convinced that Foxy wasn't hiding somewhere in my New Jersey apartment.

Now you encouraged me to post this video with the words grin and bear in it.

Now you're making me wonder if Baloo has ever done cocaine before :004:

(also I just remembered this one internet person I saw who had a cough thing about Mad Dog in this show...but I won't go into detail cuz that's a rabbit hole and a half)

For me it was Bonnie. The worst part was that when that game was popular my bed was like, on the same wall as the door into my room. So like... if it was open I couldn't see out of it but anything that came in had direct access to me just laying there. So yeah I would just lie there paranoid that Bonnie would open my door, look to the left, and get me.

Also once I fell asleep on the school bus and had a dream where Freddy was following me home.

Thanks for bringing back all these LOVELY memories!

My Xbox is telling me I need to be connected to the internet in order to play a single player game with no online features.

???
If it’s digital it may need to check the license if it’s physical it may just be a glitch if you’re Wi-Fi is enabled.

As popular as it is today, I find it kind of sad how FNAF has essentially become the very opposite of what initially defined it.

The first couple of FNAF games were legitimate horror back when the horror genre was more concerned on action and survival. That's what allowed it to blow up in the first place.

Nowadays...well, it's not nearly as scary lol.

There’s a special place in my heart for the first batch of games. There was nothing like them at the time.
