Somehow they convinced him to let them use the old Mario cartoon intro, from an era they dont want to talk about when they licensed out their IP's to anybodyBecause Miyamoto is breathing down their necks at every step.
He already ****ed up once, he's not letting it happen again.
It’s literally the only thing that makes me have contention for this movie. And it sticks out like a sore thumb for me. Like when I hear his voice attached to this character, the soul gets sucked out faster than it would by Luigi’s Poltergust. You’re taking this grudge to the grave lol
Tbh I probably would’ve had I not accidentally planted a more ideal actor in my head for him.Tbh I grew used to Chris Pratt Mario.
Pretty much same here. The only ones I see still malding are once with a personal grudge on himTbh I grew used to Chris Pratt Mario.
I've been seeing several folks say this... but I've yet to find a source.ILLUMINATION ARE ****ING MAD MEN!
There was a problem fetching the tweet
I mean I myself am not a fan of him but he's just whatever in almost every film he's in.Pretty much same here. The only ones I see still malding are once with a personal grudge on him
Yeah, he isnt great, it isnt a blowout, its just ok and thats good enough for me as long as he plays the role goodI mean I myself am not a fan of him but he's just whatever in almost every film he's in.
Except Lego Movie he was a W
He really did nail the role of Generic white guy.Except Lego Movie he was a W
This is God-slayer Bowser All over again.I've been seeing several folks say this... but I've yet to find a source.
Pratt isn’t the problem, hell at one point I even had him in mind as a potential voice for a movie Pac-Man. I’m more not impressed at the execs and higher ups who assumingly don’t have enough faith in the project to go for someone who suited Mario better and instead went with one of the current most bankable actors to play him.Pretty much same here. Its not that deep. Its just easier money to get big names. If that's not having enough faith in the movie then almost half of the movies that are coming daily have no faith put in them either.Pratt isn’t the problem, hell at one point I even had him in mind as a potential voice for a movie Pac-Man. The only reason they got Pratt for the voice is due to his popularity. Otherwise, they probably would try to find someone Italian who could actually pull off a Mario voice.I don’t like Pratt as Mario. Aside from the fact that I don’t think the voice fits, his performance has been strangely low energy so far. I wish they could’ve gotten someone better.
But I’m a glass half full kinda guy, and everything else looks cool. So I can ignore it.
the Peach voice is perfect for what they’re letting the woman do (aka be useful for everything)The only reason they got Pratt for the voice is due to his popularity. Otherwise, they probably would try to find someone Italian who could actually pull off a Mario voice.
Still not a fan of Peach's voice, doesn't fit her either and the way her character is, feels more like it'd belong to Daisy.
I give the Sonic movies credit that they actually picked someone (Ben Schwartz) who could totally do a Sonic voice.
It's just I expected it to be high-pitched and cheery like we seen in the games.the Peach voice is perfect for what they’re letting the woman do (aka be useful for everything)
It says a lot when the most pessimistic person on this boards which is me just finds the voice okay and I'm able to look past it without a problem and be excited for the movieI don’t like Pratt as Mario. And also for god sakes, they also Jack black, Charlie Day and ****ing Keegan-Michael Key. Funny how only one of those celbs they picked shows they have no faith in the movie when there is 3 as main charactersAlso I'm with Pumpkaboo here. If they didn't give a damn about the casting they would have not gotten someone as expensive as Pratt (cause that man EXPENSIVE expensive). Now I don't think Pratt was the correct choice but clearly they saw something we don't
Despite the oversaturation of celebrity VO’s in animated films, I don’t mean that every casting choice like that means no faith. It’s just he’s the one that sticks out to me when pretty much everyone else in this movie has their natural voice fit or puts on a voice that fits, but aside from like one line, Pratt’s not either case. Its not that deep. Its just easier money to get big names. If that's not having enough faith in the movie then almost half of the movies that are coming daily have no faith put in them either.
I think you need to put this to the side before it kills you lol
YAHOO!!!
You mean Marioillion dollars.I mean, either way, it’s boutta make a goombillion dollars at the box office.
Yeah they hit on every other cast member so I'm fine with one missAnd also for god sakes, they also Jack black, Charlie Day and ****ing Keegan-Michael Key. Funny how only one of those celbs they picked shows they have no faith in the movie when there is 3 as main characters
Someone hasn’t read the Super Mario Adventures comic. We don’t know the full extent of what she does in the movie yet so I don’t think it’s fair to judge her here.In my opinion. They could've squeezed Daisy in there just as another ally of Peach (Since Sarasaland was featured in the trailer from that map in Peach's castle). The character they're giving Peach feels like it's more for Daisy, I just don't think it fits Peach.
Like I wasn't expecting Peach to be some totally helpless damsel-in-distress but at least more around the lines of some kind of sovereign leader of some type at least.
But hey just my opinion.
Probably just a generic desert.Since Sarasaland was featured in the trailer from that map in Peach's castle
I mean it did have pyramids...It's likely Sarasaland or at least a reference. It also showed Donkey Kong's kingdom. And as we later see in the trailer, they're working together with the Kongs in karts which clearly indicates both kingdoms being allies to thwart Bowser.Probably just a generic desert.
