I will re emphasize that the Israel-Palestine war is about to get so much worse because Netanyahu already didn't give 2 ****s about what the public thinks of him and now that his buddy Trump is back in power he's about to get even bolder with his policies. Which is to say the war is going to escalate further.

They really ****ed up by not pulling Biden out sooner and by playing the same damn ads all the time about her giving tax cuts. Having one policy is not going to help you In the race. She needed to make herself more known and had a clear outline on her policies that reached a wider audience then it did.

Also ngl, the secret service seem pretty ****ty at their job, there is a chance he may not make it to or survive that presidency if actually elected.

At the end of the day, I hope whatever happens, things some how don’t escalate into worse situations like that and that the remaining votes can save the election without any more

Trump got his ass handed to him by Biden last time and kept demanding they recount. Dragging that out for way longer than it should have.

If he can get away with that, then they can and definitely will fight that same battle.

I also would not be surprised if they underestimated trump and are now looking for someway loophole to keep him out. Even if it meant putting Vance in his place, that wouldn’t be as bad. Because that man doesn’t have the skills or backing to carry on for trump.

Also I could be wrong, but I believe trump still has his own criminal case before he would be inaugurated. Which if he does, it could also hinder him actually getting into office.

I know it’s scary, but the election isn’t ending tonight, it’s going to drag on for the next few weeks before it reaches an actual conclusion. So with anything being able to happen before then, I wouldn’t give up yet.

If his win holds and he gets in, the plus side is that he will never be able to run again and most of his damage will be undoable right away from the next candidate.

I also doubt the republicans will be able to produce anyone who stands a chance winning next time. Trump is an outlier and quite a few republicans turned on him. They won’t have a candidate with a shot at winning for a long time.

I would also wager a decent portion of the country will learn not to **** around with voting after this and realize it’s serious **** and that maybe they should listen to factual evidence and not be ****ing stupid next time. This race should have never had to be this close to begin with.

Don't forget, as scary as project 2025 is, the republican party only have 4 years to implement those policies and there's no way that will go smoothly. I have very little faith in politicians but America is a big place, and definitely not a monolith. There will be resistance, and this resistance will be loud. Even if some policies will pass, not all of them will.

Tbh, I was prepared for another Trump presidency for a while.

I had some brief hope during the initial hype for Harris but it slowly dissipated as her campaign went on.

I'll probably be safe. I live in a blue state. And as much as Trump would love to be a dictator I don't think he's capable of succeeding at becoming one. But I still think he's still going to cause a lot of damage over the next four years.

Despite all I've said, I'm still planning on fleeing Israel. Policies are one thing, but they're basically completely irrelevant to America's co-managing of the war as an outside force. Netanyahu and the other nutjobs in the government are definitely gonna get bolder now that they're about to be backed by a like-minded leader, and considering what they've already done that is a terrifying thought.

But I was already going to leave Israel eventually so the only difference is that I'm gonna do it faster
