That's because aside from most returning characters, Koopalings and Shy Guy, it is.

Looking back at it, the roster was just ok, it just wasn't as good as Wii's. Doesn't help that everyone was exhausted with the Koopalings at the time (but they 100% should have gotten in a long time ago), and the last two were blatant 10 second asset flips to fill in a spot so its just rounds out to... eh.

My favorite game of all time and tbh it's cause nostalgia carries it hard because idk how else it earned that top spot.

All they had to do was include a way to check in game what Blue Coins were tied to specific missions, and what were in all missions, and better physics but that's neither here nor there, but no.
