We're only at Gen 9 and so far, each Gen remake, aside from FireRed and LeafGreen, comes at the Gen that's double it's original Gen release. Gen 2 got their remakes at Gen 4. Gen 3 got their remakes at Gen 6. And Gen 4 got their remakes at Gen 8. So Gen 5's remakes will come at Gen 10. I think by then, we'll have either have news on the new console or the new console will be out by then.

Is that really the pattern? Has that been anything more than just coincidence? Really wow. Though I guess it does make sense. We get Gen 9, we get Let's Go Johto, we get Gen 10, we get Gen 5 remakes, but still.... i just had never thought about that before.

Just imagine if at some point in the future we are able to have a Pokemon Rainbow series of games with the 4 japan regions in 1 game (Kanto, Johto, Hoen, and Sinnoh), 4 USA regions in 1 game (Unova, Alola, and two future regions), and 4 Europe regions in a third game (Kalos, Galar, Paldea, and a fourth new one). That would be cool.

They could probably do both. But yeah. Modernized in the ways it needs to be. Faithful in the places it needs to be. And while I like the chibis, they really do need to go if they don't want to piss people off. Especially in Unova. And with how much Unova gets praised for it's animation and spritework... THAT is a place where they really need to be "faithful" to the original.

But yeah. Pokemon: Grey 1 and Grey 2 accompanied by Pokemon Legends: Kyurem. Sounds nice.
