My first Sonic experience was with a four-pack of games for the PC. (I never owned a Sega console) Sonic CD didn't work on my computer, but that still left me with a Sonc 3 & Knuckles collection, a collection of Genesis games that included Sonic 2 and Shining Force, and Sonic R!

Batman Beyond Let's Go
for Batman Beyond please
Not sure if this is 100% a guarantee (it could just be the opinion of the article's author, since it's not a direct statement from anyone at Warner Bros.), though if this is the case, it doesn't bode well for Ben Affleck's Batman in the Flashpoint movie. (assuming that ever gets made) Which is a shame - if he had better material to work with (and Zack Snyder didn't misinterpret a panel from The Dark Knight Returns), I think he could do well. (I liked his portrayal in Justice League)

Here's hoping they don't replace Henry Cavill as well.

My first Sonic experience was probably watching Sonic X on 4Kids (yeah remember 4Kids? They had their characters, several of which lived in Japan, singing the US anthem. It was wild).

In 2010 I got Sonic Colors for my Wii, and I fell in love. I honestly believe if I hadn’t discovered Pokémon a short time later and fallen even more in love, I’d be a Sonic fanboy.
I didn't get to play Sonic Colours on Wii as a child, but I did play a lot of the Nintendo DS version (which played really close to the other Sonic Rush games).

I have to say that the soundtrack of that Game got stuck forever inside my mind due to how good It was. Besides Reach For The Stars this one was also a highlights:

Imagine watching that Sonic Ghost Short and thinking the Sonic franchise was about a blue hedgedog dealing with the supernatural with his buddies...

In other words, Scooby-Doo but IN JAPAAAAAAAAAN.

Also, bro, I so wish the Sonic OAV had more episodes, I really love how the world & the characters look.

one of my birds has been showing pretty much every single sign possible of disease and I’m very ****ing worried now because what few places do treat parakeets here are closing like in 5 minutes, and unless it’s a diet issue I don’t have much time

For those really interested in the world of animation and Sonic, there's this really interesting video with shows the evolution of Sonic animations throught the years: from TV commercials from around the world to TV shows and stuff of that level.

I'd say It is an interesting watch.

I think I'm getting an even better idea of how I want my artstyle to look like based on my drawing skills.

I feel that my artstyle is gonna have for starters a style of eyes inspired by both Paper Mario titles and Fire Emblem Heroes (as It would make It easier for me to express emotions and such).

And then for body proportions and such I feel I will take way more freedom, although some of the body proportions I imagine in my mind do make me remember stuff like Transformers Animated, Skullgirls or Fire Emblem Heroes again.

It could all turn out really interesting, yes.
An artist channel I watch called Drawfee did a Childhood re-draw challenge, and they basically said that, if people ask them about how to get their artstyle, they would simply say "It was always there, and you cannot escape from it." So, be patient and just keep on moving forward, without realizing it, you will get there and see it with your own eyes.
Sounds like a fun and interesting personal journey.

I'm all in for It!
Just remember, everyone's journey is different. Some will do things faster, other slower. Others will grasp knowledge way easier than others, the topics that we focus on are different too, and even if what we strive for might be similar (improvement, development, inspiration), it's still different because of the way we approach thing naturally.
That's a problem I seriously have not just with drawing but a lot of stuff in general.

I think too much and that makes me too distracted.
Try the best not to overthink, my friend. That stops you from going forward. Like a friend told me, sometimes things come out better when we aren't thinking about it.
@JDCabrera Practice drawing different things and see what makes you comfortable. Clear your head, put that pencil to paper and see what comes out of it
I totally agree with this.
Maybe, I had an idea for a new character for a potential Sonic rhythm game named Synth, but I haven’t decided on her species yet. I could see what could work here
:D I look forward to see her soon! xD And I think I finally got a name for my owl thingy, he's going to be Silas the Owl. x'D Funny, the name apparently means Man of the forest/Woods, or can also mean Three or "the third" and he's indeed, the third fan character I have created. I also like that it goes along with my first character having green clothes, my second (Dusk from Balan Wonderworld) having mainly red, and Silas has blue. It's perfect. Not sure if going to develop him like the other two though, but I like him.

Oh also, speaking of art, I figured I'd show some concept art and final designs for the game I'm making with my friends. It's really surreal to see these characters I made as concepts start to become fully fleshed out. I've shown some of these before, but some of these are new.

Okay so I gave my bird some unholy concoction of ingredients to create electrolyte-filled water and he’s starting to move better so it may have just been a diet issue.

Def still concerned but this is the best case scenario.

Can't say much since it's late here, but Hamilton and The Surveyor are my favourite so far.

What can I say, I love spooky stuff.

Thanks a bunch! And nice, because while this game ain't flat out horror, it has some uncanny valley stuff going on.

And the clown tries to kill the caveman. Such is the circle of life. 😩

:D I look forward to see her soon!
The only design elements I have in mind so far is that I want her attire and overall look to be reminiscent of Vocaloids and for there to be some design element that resembles the Magenta Rhythm Wisps from Lost World (like maybe her hair or something. If you have any suggestions for what she could be, please feel free to let me know.

The fact you’re doing this all at 14 is what gets me

Like, I was pretty ambitious at your age but you’re actually making your ideas reality. Props to you.

I'm fifteen, there's a MAJOR diffirence.

Jokes aside, thanks! A bit nervous about this, but I think we have what we need to make this. Plus this game isn't gonna be too too lengthy, it'll be an experience on the shorter side.

I'm a little late, but my first introduction to Sonic was Sonic underground.

You can imagine how confused i was when Manic and Sonia never came back in anything.
Honestly that may have been my first interaction too. It was either that, Sonic Rush, or the 4kids dub.

Also Sonic Underground getting canned before they actually find the mother is genuinely sad

Can't recall what my first introduction to Sonic was, but I remember playing Sonic Generations, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing: Transformed, and watching the Sonic cartoon and Sonic Underground when I was younger, so it had to be one of those.

My first introduction to Sonic was through Mega Collection on GameCube and my brother's copy of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle that he gave away to me on the same day that I got the former. He absolutely hated the character but SA2 ended up turning me into a huge fan of him, so he definitely got to see plenty of Sonic while he was around me lol.

Much as I hate to say it I’m really kinda the idea guy with my own game right now. Though I guess it makes sense, I came up with the concept only a few weeks ago.

I just don’t wanna start game development without planning everything out first.

My introduction to Sonic was Sonic Compilation on the Mega Drive. Confession time, I didn't actually like Sonic all that much back then, played a ton of Quackshot and World of Illusion though.

I have my own ideas for game design(mostly related to my dream game) but for me personally I already got enough **** to worry about as is, game design is something I can put on the backburner while I do things that are more important in my day-to-day life, for example fixing my plummeting grades.

o3o Oooh, sounds awesome! I mean, I love Electronic music and synth wave music so I have seen some elements that I can already imagine in the character, but if I can imagine any specific animal she could be based off, I will let you know! :D I mean, most simply go with Hedgehog, but you probably want her to stand out, right?

Yeahhhh I’d hate to be the idea guy. The game isn’t actually being programmed by me, it’s being programmed by a pal of mine I’ve known for a few years, though I still am trying to contribute to it by making the characters, story, scripts, game design, some concept artwork, etc. To be honest though, I’d say it’s more so both of our game than just mine. Programmers don’t get enough credit, they take stories and characters and make it all work. They’re the backbone of any game.

programming is my dream job; I know firsthand how damn stupid it is to do.

You tell the computer to do one thing and then when you test it it does something completely different because you forgot a single damn comma. It’s tedious but necessary work.

That isn’t even getting into complicated stuff like compiling, language differences, libraries, and don’t forget about all the math equations!
