I knew that film was going to be something special as soon as that song started playing. Never expected to hear Roger Daltrey in an anime.

Yeah it's one of my favourite anime films easily. One of the best animation studios, The Who as an opening, a story about bullying and redemption...................yet people in the west decided to not nominate this film and went for The Boss Baby.

Question. Why do people think an open world Sonic game is a good idea?

Cause from my perspective, it clashes with the series core appeal and feels like a cash grab. Like when Crash became a beat ‘em up.

His selling point is being fast, open worlds being naturally massive lends well to that. His 3D Gameplay has left a lot to be desired as of late, so a new genre sounds like a nice change of pace.

Those are my thoughts at least.

From my perspective the appeal of Sonic was going incredibly fast and having the reflexes and skill necessary to maintain that speed through these deadly obstacle courses. 2D and 3D. The good games, this is the part I’m enjoying. Sonic 2, 3 & Knuckles, Adventure 1 & 2, Colors, Generations, Mania, they all have this as their core aspect. You can’t do that in an open world. Cause in an open world you just go around.

THE PLOT:

In a world of magic and martial arts, an army of Demons from a parallel dimension have invaded the land. And they’ve won. Civilization has fallen, humanity has been enslaved, and the last bastion of hope lies in four goofball teenagers.

Comet, Dark Thunder, Mono, and Krag. Together, along with an unhelpful chicken, they must find a way to defeat the King of the Demons and restore peace to the world. If only they could figure out how.

If you couldn’t tell, I was heavily inspired by the older western Sonic canon. With the freedom fighters, trying to take back the world from the bad guys, and stuff like that. I also took hints from DBZ, Naruto, and Kung Fu Panda. Cuz ninjas and Kung fu are cool bro.

While the plot is kinda dark, it’s much more focused on the gags and character interactions. With some fights as well. I think the main cast (including the villains who I haven’t drawn yet ;)) all have fun personality’s and work off each other in funny ways.

Now imma drop some character bios and you’re gonna read em

I dunno man, I like these guys. They’re not the most unique character types in the world, but whenever I put them in different scenarios funny things tend to happen. I guess that means I did good, I dunno.

And here’s a few test comics, just to work out a couple character interactions. Figured it’d be cool to show you guys I promise the actual comic will look better than this lol

I started playing FF7 Remake again.

Decided to go with the option of replaying chapters with the completed save data, to avoid potential frustrations during harder bosses.

Finally got around to reading this myself, this is real good **** mate. The Chicken is my favorite so far.
