My goal with the remakes is gonna be to win all the Pokémon Contest ribbons with my Darkrai, Zoroark and Giratina.

I guess it’s the fact that he brought up the fact that the remakes were faithful at all. It immediately draws my attention to it due to all the hate that faithfulness has been getting online and puts me into the mindset of defending it.

I think it has more to do with the fact that due to ORAS, we now know it's canon that every alternate version and remake is a canon alternate reality.

I’m not saying there has to be a justification, but I could see that being one of the reasons. Ultimately it’s probably because it’s not GF making it. But from the looks of it, legends came first and they outsourced the remakes to them. Meaning there was some intentions on the design philosophy of these games.

My goal with the remakes is gonna be to win all the Pokémon Contest ribbons with my Darkrai, Zoroark and Giratina.

I believe that’s what FR/LG is, as well.

as far as we know yes. That’s why In ORAS, Looker has no memory and has no clue about megas. Because it’s implied he traveled through wormholes and the Looker in ORAS is the original platinum one. Which is why he doesn’t know anything. The Looker in Sun and moon is the XY one though.

At least that is what has been implied in the games. So BDSP should end up in the non mega timeline.
