OK. Am I the only one who thinks it's a little weird how Battle for the Grid doesn't have all 6 members of the original Mighty Morphin cast on the roster? They have Jason and Tommy and have Kimberly from another show with a costume to make her her morphin counterpart. Fine. Good. Whatevs. Then they have Trini.... in the dragon armor from the comics..... OK... I mean she's there but that's not how I think most people had hoped to play as her (I assume, I mean, I wanted normal Trini) and it's this big bulky thing so they can't just give her a skin for her normal design. And then Zack and Billy... not on the roster at all. I mean... I get it, you want to represent a variety of rangers from all across the history of the show. But like.... you'ed think having all 6 of the original mighty morphin team would be like a basic necessity or something. They're the ones who started the show up after all and the ones people most associate with the brand.

I suppose your looking for a successor to this 90s classic? It is one of my retro 2d favorites, next to Weaponlord, and Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting.

I mean, I think some villains can be sympathetic, It just depends on the villain.

........That being said, yeah, I agree that what they did to make Cruella, an animal abuser, sympathetic is pretty stupid.

This is what I've learned so far in Fighting Ex Layer AD. With the EX trio mechanics, they are needed in very tight solutions, but can be more useful depending on certain characters in reference to their priorities.

I'm trying to see if there are any active players online from another forum, because they have an option to return to the character select screen for once in casual match.

Despite all of the terrible things he has done, killing Solidus felt depressing as it was a victory for the larger-scope villains known as the Patriots.

And everyone is kind of trying and failing at it right now with all of these attempts at sympathetic villains. Plus if we make a villain too sympathetic and they do something super horrible and heinous then people might start to thing what they did was ok.

In the sense of the film it's even more dumb.
The Dalmations killed her mother because the villain signalled them to do so.
The villain is also actually her bio mother who didn't want her whilst her adoptive mother was a servant that raised her in secret

It's a chaotic mess

It's not that they're overdone, it's that the vast majority wind up being ****.
Joker sucked but it did super well so expect tons more half-baked sympathetic villain films and sequels to them.

I wasn't a fan of MCU Thanos' change in his motive but even I think the whole "Boning death" would have been too tacky for audiences and just doesn't fit the MCU.

Thanos’ backstory wasn’t meant to be sympathetic though. He wasn’t a sympathetic character. It was meant to explain the origin of his insane plot. He’s given a human element, but you aren’t meant to ever think “oh poor Thanos”

"Dalmatians killed my mother" isn't even remotely as bad as how insultingly bad The Predator is with how it handles autism.
