Lamperouge Lamperouge just watched the latest episode of Tokyo Revengers. This anime would 10x better if they really didn't force humour into it. Doesn't fit the plot whatsoever and it's making me consider dropping the show.

Just doing a quick ranking as well of anime I'm watching this season.

1. Zombieland Saga Revenge
2. To Your Eternity
3. Tokyo Revengers
4. The World Ends With You The Animation.

Considering to watch eventually: Nagotoro, Vivy: Flourite Eye's Song, Farewell My Dear Cramer, Super Cub, Combatants Will Be Dispatched, Odd Taxi.

I don’t know how many times I’ve said this today, only that I can barely talk rn and my throat hurts.
So......................where's the sniper? Can you spot a red dot moving everytime you fail?

So whose watching A Quiet Place Part II next week?

I remember being too harsh on the first film how humanity couldn't have stopped the creatures or found their weakness but the more I thought about it and looked into it, it made sense why and I've since warmed up to the film not being as plot-hole ridden as I once thought it was.

They really should make a prequel involving humanity's fight with the creatures.

Played some more Oneshot.

Shorter session this time around, so not much to say here, but I got to say: Niko got some of the loudest footstep of any RPG character I ever played.

Like I bet you could make a stupdy funky remix out of her footstep....if this hasn't already been done.

Wademan94 Wademan94 So, I need some help with some voice references for characters in this game, if you’re interested. I need references for these fellas in particular:

Abel - Basically a polite, friendly, somewhat high pitched teenage male voice
Vee - A bubbly, optimistic, high pitched female voice
Lila - A somewhat deep pitched, serious female voice

If ya know any characters’ voices that maybe could fit these descriptions, lemme know! And if anyone else here wants to help as well, be my guest.
I’d be happy to help. Can you give me some descriptions or images of the characters themselves?

I haven't watched it yet but I've noticed that I'm not particularly excited when new episodes drop unlike Nagatoro. Still enjoying the show but I have my doubts about where it's headed, and the indefinite episode count makes me think I'll be in it for the long haul if I continue.

Edit: NVM, apparently it's 24 episodes for the first season. Not sure why MAL doesn't have that listed but whatever.

Should I add Castlevania to my line-up of shows I'm watching?

I'm not sure how soon I'll finish Avatar, the Owl House's second season is premiering in summer, and RWBY's 9th season definitely won't premiere until at least fall. That timing may leave a fair amount of open space in my schedule for another show or two.

I could always use another show to watch in my free time should all others in my current line-up be completed or on hiatus. I know the general backstory and plot for the Castlevania series, so can I enjoy the animated series without having played any of the games?

It's like a carrot and stick in terms of build up. I'm just waiting for Takemichi to just start fighting but it's like everytime you think "oh he'll do it" it gets taken away.
That and the humour are the main issues.

It does feel like a gap in quality of the four I'm watching. To Your Eternity has the set-up, heartbreak and one hell of a concept while ZLS Revenge is one amazing ride of a comedy-music-horror. Then TWEWY The Animation is too rushed and Tokyo Revengers is so inconsistent.

And with that I'm gonna check out Fluorite Eye's Song as it's from the creator of Re:Zero and pretty sci-fi. Add another to my list.

Yup!

Abel is the game’s friendly, kind-hearted young protagonist. He’s only thirteen years old, so his voice is reminiscent of a higher pitched teenage voice. He rarely raises his voice, and he’s a rather peaceful person overall.

Vee is basically a bubbly, optimistic young robot. She’s a bit childish, reckless, and sassy at times, but her heart’s in the right place.

Lila is a caring, albeit stern mother. She may seem a bit rough, but deep down, she’s a gentle, calm person who just wants to keep her son safe. I imagine her voice to be a bit on the deeper side.

Following up on that, is The Legend of Korra worth watching after I finish ATLA?

I know it was popular back in it's own time, but in the years since it ended I've largely seen it's reception being more divisive than it's predecessor.

Is it worth watching whether it's as a follow-up or on it's own merit?

Yes, absolutely. The best VG adaptation hands down. There’s one crazy ass episode that’ll likely blindside you in Season 3, Episode 9, but Seasons 1-3 are some of the best Animated Series I’ve ever seen. It also helps the entire first 3 seasons is shorter than most anime season 1’s. So it’s brisk and very well paced.

I personally don’t like it, at least not as much as ATLA, but I won’t stop you from watching it and I hope you enjoy it more than I did. I can’t really say it should be seen as a standalone considering it is supposed to be a sequel to ATLA and I feel like it betrays a lot of the material and lore set up in the original, it took me a while to get past season 1. I will say it does have its moments, it took me until season 3 to see anything that’s on par with ATLA but yeah I’ll leave it to you what you wish to do. That’s just my two cents on the matter

Today, I am a (mostly) COVID-proof man. Hope you guys who’ve yet to get the prick get it soon, it’s really not all that bad.
Eh, after months of having to not wear a mask to go to the gym because it'll sweat off rendering it useless, I feel safe from Covid.

It sure is stressful when all of your supervisors are right next to you, watching your every move.

I somehow keep on messing up and get away with only verbal warnings, which is not what I was expecting when they explained the write-up system to me. I thought they were gonna be way more harsh than this.

it probably helps that I’m pretty chill with most of my direct superiors anyway

I've gotten mine last month. The side effects were heavy brain fog, migraines after coughing, and a decline of appetite. Vitamin C was needed, but I didn't think much of it at the time. Not having an appetite, which is still on-going, is needed, due to being on medications that triggers increased food consumption.

I still need to get mine, but my fear of needles kicks in whenever I even think of it. Normally a rational fear, but yknow, in this case, it’s pretty irrational.

If they could just prick me with that needle while I’m sleeping, I’d be cool, thanks.

Exactly the same here, the side effects are worse though.

i mean the last time i made a joke involving noi, i got a warning and 4 points for "flaming/harassment", because people might not understand that what i said was a joke. Noi did end up talking them out of it, but every precaution helps
I think I got one warning for a "your grandmother" joke once.

Now I just need to wait until a hypothetical wave two comes out and I can get Melissa Duck/Tina Russo, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Henry Hawk, Gossamer, Granny, Michigan J. Frog, Pepe le Pew, Penelope Pussycat, Duck Dodgers, and Drag Bugs.

TBH I would rather Bosko and Honey to Dodgers and Drag Bugs, but they always have a repaint in these and I don’t know if the potential controversy would be worth it. Specially since Bosko, unlike Pepe le Pew, doesn’t have much of a fan base anyway.

Lamperouge Lamperouge just watched the first few minutes of that show I was talking and yep......................this is definitely from the creator of Re:Zero.

Bit of blood in there by the way.
Still haven't seen Re:Zero. I really need to get on that someday.

I did just watch the first episode of 86: Eighty Six, a new mecha anime from A1 Pictures since it's another seasonal with a low episode count of 11. The production values are pretty nice even if the mech sequences are almost entirely CGI from what I've seen so far, but it seems promising.

Comedy is now a bannable offense on Smashboards. Snake won. :yeahboi:
It's honestly people coming into the thread and taking snippets of a conversation out of context as of late, which is frustrating.

Context is key in a lot of discussion, and it feels like certain individuals are a bit too trigger happy as of late instead of doing due diligence to read into the discussion at hand. If two people are messing around with one another in a joking manner, and then one gets infracted despite both people playing around with one another, I have to question if the person handing out the infraction actually bothered to read the entire discussion or just impulse infracted.

Yeah, I agree. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again, most likely. The “comedy is now a bannable offense” thing was just me joking around.

A few first suggestions that come to mind:

-This one is a bit hard but maybe Jeremy Shada? (Finn from Adventure Time, Lance from Voltron Legendary Defender) He still sounds pretty youthful

-Bit of a meta humor answer, but I feel Janice Kawaye (Lysithea from FE Three Houses, Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot) could work as Vee

-I could see someone like Elizabeth Maxwell (Sae from Persona 5, Winter from RWBY) for Lila
