Gonna be real with ya, but the sooner we know everyone, do you think everyone here is gonna stick around for a long period of time? I know a handful of people are just hanging around until the ride's over and then planning on bouncing.


I'm fine waiting it out, since I enjoy the sense of community we've built here, and know full well there's a high likelihood that that'll be over when the last 2 come out and the DLC ends.

You’re right, you have to make an effort to start and maintain friendships.

If you truly want companionship, you have to make that effort. Even if it places you outside of your comfort zone.

Well, with the power of the internet, thankfully it's not too hard to find people with similar hobbies and interests as you. Thowing this out here, but Discord and Reddit has pretty much every hobby known to man on it, Discord is especially good for forming friendships, and (assuming this is a concern of yours, let me know if it isn't), you can find a LGBT or Trans friendly server if you want people who share your struggles in this crazy world as well as sharing your interests. A safe space of sorts when it seems the world has gone to hell.

They're everywhere, and they're not too hard to find either.

Just comes down to luck and a few other things.

If you are like me, you can end up finding people here who have very common interests and now are helping each other in stuff.

Plus I'm too territorial for having hobbies with other's IRL.

Don't get me wrong, the popular front page subs of reddit are ****ing vile and rampant with racism, sexism, LGBTphobia, but smaller subs focused on one or two specific topics are usually friendly and inviting.

Seriously though, if I can keep talking to the people who I know and keep having those online friendships going for a long time after here that's good enough for me.

Pandemic has just made it messy to talk to people IRL and make friends that way.

I always feel like when I go somewhere social like a class or a club, a place for meeting people, I feel like I don’t belong there. Like I’m encroaching on a place not meant for me, and I’m bothering everyone there. Even if I’m currently cracking everyone up. I never keep in touch with those people after cuz I feel like I’m not worthy of being of being their friend. Or they’ll find out where I’m from and want nothing to do with me.

Suppose that’s what growing up in a cult does to ya. Guess that’s something I gotta overcome.
