I'm not against a Marvel fighting game at all, but the only thing that I question is the source itself. The source Daniel Richtman (aka DanielRPK on twitter) is sometimes a hit and miss at times. The only times he was a hit is when he got the dates of the promotional material for film teasers and trailers right, but as for his scoops and rumours, he can often be a miss.

The problem is that this is an ongoing rumor from a handful of places over the course of 6 months.

Also, no way NRS is doing marvel unless it’s DC vs Marvel. I just don’t see it.

It's a shame this never happened. Imagine getting a sprite-based 2D fighting game combining standard light and heavy attacks with Persona attacks, an SP bar that can be spent to use an Instant Kill attack that finishes off the opponent immediately.

So much unrealized potential...

I've been playing a bit of the Mario 64 Browser version, and I think it's made me appreciate the game more. I first played it on 3D All-Stars but I did it in between playing Sunshine and Galaxy so it really felt like the weakest part of the package. The fact that it holds up so well even when limited to keyboard controls shows how well it was designed imo. Especially the camera, it follows Mario nearly perfectly. Although, I have only played the first section of levels and the fact it's actually in wide screen may help

Interesting fact, that began as an unmade concept of King Kong vs. Frankenstein where Victor's great-grandson created his own monster using animals and both it and King Kong would have fought it out in San Francisco, this would have served as a sequel to the 1933 King Kong film where King Kong would have survived his fall.

Then what was as you mentioned Godzilla vs. Frankenstein came to this before settling with King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), this explains King Kong's electrical abilities we see at the end of the film which was meant to be for Frankenstein.

I would love for the story of Frankenstein integrated into the MonsterVerse.

It would involve around Victor Frankenstein's descendant creating his own monster using the body parts of titans and bringing his creature to life, this is something that would certainly enrage Godzilla.

And to explore more into this. There could even be a flashback where Victor witnesses Godzilla himself which inspired him more to create life meddling with nature which would fit the theme. Victor feeling that all the power he thought he had become non-existent and so he seeks to get it back. The Titan monster would essentially be the culmination of this, trying to create a beast that challenges the thing that took their power away.

Either that or he was just obsessed with life and death and thought Godzilla was the perfect example, an inspiration to strive toward.
