Sadly, a lot of people put their value on fake internet points and its a damn shame to see someone's self worth being put on whether or not someone clicked the like button. It's damn near depression inducing on sites like Instagram or TikTok because it rewards the conventionally attractive ( which is usually white/white features, skinny, abs for men, boob/ass for ladies, tall) which can absolutely kill body images and perception of what one should look like.They'll find out you're not white and start screaming the N word at you
In all seriousness I do agree with the decision cause like, some people were getting stressed out and fighting over their damn likes as if internet points are actually worth a damn, especially with potential concerns of "This person has more likes so they are objectively right" among the younger, more impressionable users
