And O hai, I lurk the snake boards.

BTW to all you cynics, snake is one of Sonic's easier top/high tier matchups. Still prolly slightly in snakes advantage, but not that much. Priority isn't an issue, Sonic can essentially get past all of Snake's explosives, beat him in the air, aproach him easily, handle grenade spam effectively, etc. Snakes main advantage is his ease in killing. This match-up isn't what it seems on paper.

Just warning you XD.

PS.. Any good snakes want to play this weekend? I'm dying to play a truly skilled snake again, haven't in a while.

LAG NEVER HELPS SNAKE!!!!

Reasons:

1. Cant time c4 because of stupid lag
2. Cant time spikes because of stupid lag
3. Cant time combos because of stupid lag

Sorry I dont hate you, I just hate lag with a passion!

P.S Grenade sheilding and grenade drops and dodges completely stop sonic rolls from determining the pace of the fight. Just some helpful advice.

Most people would think that. Heck, I thought that when I played Sonic. However, a good Sonic can be too fast for a good Snake. Sonic screws up projectiles by simply being too fast to be hit by them, and has a slightly better air game than Snake (Sonic uses maneuverability and speed to out-do Snake's power and range) - meaning Snake is somewhat more limited in his air options than Sonic. Coupled with the fact that Sonic is hit and run, Sonic can be a tough opponent for Snake, or at least a very irritating one.

I'm not dissing sonic because he is definitely a good player when you get past the learning curve and learn how to use his moves, maneuverability, and speed on at a high level of play. however when sonic loses his speed he is in serious trouble. Sonic doesn't have a great ground game or great priority for that matter with exception to his specials (especially against a snake) he also doesn't have the best of range. his speed is what makes all these problems matter less as he is always on the move and can hit and run to rack up damage.

having said that snake can severely limit sonics speed by killing his ground game. Mines for one will stop a sonic in his tracks and sonic only has one move that can safely remove the mines. grenades more so than anything else will keep a sonic at bay or confined to moving by air, or camping. after a snake learns how to use his grenades to reduce sonics speed, then sonic loses his one advantage (which is a very good one) and is forced to play a more arial game and a much tighter defense sense he will now have to stick alot closer to snake to try to rack up damage.
