Space out the inputs a little bit- move the circle pad just a hair before you press the attack button. Make sure not to mash the directional input so that you don't still get a smash attack or something else.

What time will that be in UK time?
2:30 AM in the morning for the GMT timezone , 3:30 AM for anyone in the CET timezone, 4:30 AM for everyone in the EET timezone, and 5:30 AM for everyone in the FET timezone, all of which are kind of sucky times. :(

Around 2:30 in the morning in GMT.
I'm in GMT+1, so it'll be 3:30AM on the 4th for me.

3 questions:

1. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, does anyone know the specific navigational menu pathway (as in, the sequence of what you click) to reach the Super Smash Bros. 4 character trailers/"Movies" option? (like the one in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that let you view all of the Subspace Emissary cutscenes)?

2. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, does anyone know the specific navigational menu pathway (as in, the sequence of what you click) to reach the Nintendo eShop (such as for purchasing downloadable content)? If I recall correctly, the method to do this is within the game itself..?

3. Can someone list all of the cooperative ("Co-op") activities/modes available in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the ones available in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (such as Home-Run Contest, etc.)?

Thanks in advance for the help.

1. Press any button, move right one, down two to reach "games and more" and press "A". Press "A" again on "vault". Move right 3 and press "A" on "Movies". Press down or up to scroll.
2. Press any button, make sure to be connected to the internet. On the main menu press "Y" twice. There you go.
3. Wii U: Smash, Classic Mode, Events, All-star mode, target blast, multi-man smash, home-run contest.
3DS: Smash, All Star, Multi-man smash.

Thank you for the detailed reply! Do you know if anything in particular come up as a prompt/sub-menu/sub-section as you press the Y button (regarding Question 2)? Regarding Questions 1 and 2, I am mainly trying to improve this page (http://www.ssbwiki.com/Menu) and make sure that all of the navigation options are adequately documented for both versions of Super Smash Bros. 4. I did not know if any other buttons/options were missing for SSB4-Wii U or SSB4-3DS..

When you push "Y" (Question 2) it pulls up the notifications, pressing Y again pulls up the DLC. It should just go straight to Sm4sh DLC.

Thanks again! Do you know if there are any headers/words that serve as a title for the notification and the "DLC/eShop" screen, or do those menus/screens not have any sort of titles/headers displayed on the screen?

I am unsure, I can't access internet on my DS here so I do not know. Sorry.

Hey, for all the new DLC, my friend got a new Wii U and I have a 3DS. Can we get the double Wii U and 3DS DLC for a cheaper price and split. We do have different Nintendo IDs. Thanks

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my controllers, afterI push the joystick to a direction and release, my character turns himself to the opposite direction. This problem must not be a controller as it happens to me with multiple controllers and gamecube adapters. I think I unconsciously tap the joystick back.
Did someone has the same problem and manage to fixe it ?

"My favorite thing is how deep the game is while still being accessible. If you have a certain degree of experience with other fighting games, you can have good matches right off the bat, and the big characters like J. Max, Carn, and Ryofu in particular are really easy to use and win with. But then are characters like Brocken who have a lot of options and depth to explore, too. It’s still a fairly unexplored game, so I’d really love to see everyone try it out and come up with new strategies and combos." - A WHP player.

my question is, where are our characters who are rich with options and depth to explore? it looks like we have 0 imo.

Try any new character or low tier, there is still plenty to find, the metagame is still evolving.

Hey, you could always pick up Puff! Despite what people might say or think about her, she actually has quite a few options at her disposal (most of them are mediocre at best, for sure, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here).

She actually does pretty okay against the top and high tier outside of... certain matchups... so it wouldn't be a complete waste of time to pick her up. Plus, she's just fun to play.

If your going to stay wireless, try changing your router's channel to either 1 or 11 in the settings, it usually helps WiFi signals get there easily. Also, if you can, make sure to turn off anything else that uses a connection on the router, more connections means more hiccups for your Wii U to get online. If none of that works, there's this other solution made by mr. GAMEDEV
"1. Go into connection types, Hit "Manual Configuration"

2. Input your SSID

3. Input the correct security type, this is key.

4. Put your password in properly

5. For ip address "Do not auto obtain".

6. open up cmd in your computer, type in ipconfig

7. Now input that ip address but add 10 to the last number so "192.168.0.1" will be entered as "192.168.0.11"

8. Enter the rest of your info inside such as subnet mask and default gateway exactly as you see it in your ipconfig.

9. Now hit next, hit configure now for your DNS. When asked about DNS hit "Dont auto obtain".

10. For the first server put in 8.8.8.8

11. For the second server put in 8.8.4.4

12. Hit Next, when asked about a proxy hit no proxy

13. Leave mtu as the default

14. it should work, if not check the ip and that it is the internet ip + 10. Good luck"
Hope one of these methods works for you.

If it will let you, yes. But idk if you can split with different NNIDs.
You can split it. Through convoluted reasons I had to get a new NNID for my Wii U and the codes work for both.

Question: people are saying that because Sakurai says dlc is done that this is also the final patch. Is this true? Can we get a source?

Not complaining, the game's still fantastic, but competitively a Bayonetta-centered meta game I have no real interest in. I can go back to 64 I guess lol

Sakurai basically said he is done working on the game, meaning no more new stuff. I can see one or maybe two more patches but that is all, if any.

I've recently discovered that my brain and hands are not fast enough and focused enough to play competitive Sm4sh. I'm looking for a way to stay involved in competitive smash without having to be good at the actual game.

There are plenty of ways, volunteer to help out your local TO or learn to become one yourself. Have solid knowledge of the game and help others who have talent but may not know much, try helping out Smashboards by becoming an editor, learn to data mine, there are plenty of ways to help that do not involve having a fast mind or fingers. Don't let that get you down though, Hbox says he has slow fingers and look how he does. Whatever you decide to do, I am sure the community will appreciate it. (The real community, not the online one.)

yes they usually are in pretty much every tournament. Some may have slightly different rules but probably like %90 of tournaments will only allow default size mii`s with all their default specials(1111). To make a default size mii, you just create any of the guest miis.

Hello, I'm new to the board, so sorry if this has been covered somewhere and I missed it. But

I play with friends alot and we use gear. The only thing we ban using between all of us is healing gear(crouch heals/hot/KO heal) so I'm wondering, for setting up characters is there gear considered "must have" for setups? Or is it just kind of a *do the best you can*?

Dunno if it helps, but I use villager and Roy the most and those are the 2 I'm most concerned about for making good customes.

Basically, just try to experiment with the different bonus effects that exist. One of my Villager customs utilizes the Critical Hitter bonus effect, but my Roy custom doesn't use any bonus effects.
