Recently, a group of friends and I were at a local Table Top gaming store that we regular. We sat down to play a game of Magic but the table could on fit four people. I choose to sit the game out and play the next round. On the table behind us there was a TV and a fairly large box sitting under it. I opened the box to find an Xbox 360 and Game Cube with all of the cords for each. Within the box there was also a copy of Melee which I decided to keep myself entertained with while I waited. I pulled out the Game Cube and Melee and set it up for a few rounds of Classic Mode.

Then in came two guys, one of them looked at me and said something to his friend. He approached me and took a look at my screen to see me (as Roy) fighting against Samus. He then said, "Hey, you're fighting Metroid Prime." I swiftly corrected him to which he responded, "No man, you're fighting Metroid Prime!" At this point, I knew exactly what he was trying to do. Each opponent that came up he had something to say that would get onto any Nintendo fans nerves (such as calling Link Zelda, claiming that Ness was "That kid from Pokemon," ect.). The whole time I fought myself from arguing with him, because that's exactly what he wanted. So instead I remained absolutely silent.

After a bit, he raised his voice. He must have noticed the Xbox 360 in the box because at this point he started outright bashing me for choosing to play a Gamecube over a 360.

I still said nothing.

After seeing his attempts to get me angry had failed he made some disgruntled comment at me about how immature and childish I was for playing Nintendo games. He stormed off to a table at the other end of the shop and he and his started to play some Magic. After he left one of my friends stated that he was easily the immature one for trying to spark an argument and considering me childish for enjoying Nintendo.

o.O "You're fighting Metroid Prime!" My lord, what a douche! He did realize -where- he was, and that making fun of anyone for anything is worse than calling the kettle black? I'd have just asked him if he wanted to play so that I could beat him profusely, but you handled that pretty well I must say.

That is very stupid. Why would he seriously try to make a complete stranger mad? It's a good thing that you kept quiet. It probably would've gotten physical with a person like that.

(I'm not saying you couldn't have ****ed him up, you know)

I IRL trolled an entire highway, thus backing up a large portion of NJ. All without breaking any laws. I'm the man.
Did u moon them or something? thats what i would do

At OP: you should have agreed with him and if he corrected you, you should have argued that he was a liar and it really was Metroid Prime

Intentionally not allowing another driver to pass you by lining up with the driver to your side is full of lulz. Especially if you're doing it to people who like to weave in and out.

Saying this already makes you a douchebag. Bragging about irl trolling doesn't get you credit.
And you taking it completely seriously already makes you a dumb-***.

Did u moon them or something? thats what i would do
Nah, nothing like that. It wasn't even really me doing the trolling, which is what made it so great. The passing lanes were taken up by trucks that were going the speed limit, and I was going the speed limit next to them. So the lanes were all blocked and no one could pass us.
