I think these are videos of D DOOM! Rosalina's I could be wrong but it seems like Rosalina took a pretty big tourney in PR. I'm not sure when this happens ut here's the links.

Also a dabuz match

Also a falln match. The other videos of his are in like 3+ hour long videos. There's other Rosalina videos on the channel but they don't seem as strong as falln.

Kirihara had a strong showing at Umebura for Rosalina finishing 4th and out-placing the visitors Ally and Vinnie.

His other matches were also on stream so maybe they'll get posted later.

On a side-note has a non-custom Rosalina at a major ever beaten a ZSS? I've never seen Dabuz beat Nairo just the same as Kirihara vs Choco. It seems basically impossible to me when I play that MU as well.

I think spacing far away against zss is the way to go, since her approachoption with the dashattack(7 frames startup, but yoiull need to start the dash too) and dashgrab (frame 16)is kinda slow/predictable since that her main options from far away(paralyzers fastest startup without charge is 21 frames). Im sure getting the optionselects down prob also will expand our punishgame to be a little bit closer to zss insane dthrow>upair>upair>up b

Why would ZSS approach with DA and Grab? She has Zair to poke at mid range and then Nair up close that will knock Luma away even when shielding. that's not to mention at low percentages Nair follow-ups into grab really well. ZSS also shouldn't really use paralyzer in this MU since if it's at mid range Luma will just block it and you get a free dash attack or even grab.

ZSS luckily can't do Down Throw -> Up Air until Luma is gone.

I don't know, how do you even approach a ZSS that's Zairing when Rosalina is so massive lol. Even if you sit back they just move in with Zair.

That's not true. ZSS strings still work on Rosalina whether luma is there or not.

I said Down Throw -> Up Air wouldn't work and by that I mean without trading with Luma if you DI right. That's at early percentages, at high percentages Luma can't stop ZSS. Down Throw -> Nair would work though despite what Luma tries to do at low percentages.

Dthrow to uair should always work for ZSS.

Ah, yea checked the framedata an dthe zair seems to be more useful then the opponents I've been playing give it credit for (less landlag then nair).

However the only way she can really deal with shield (unless close to the ledge, to go for a lumakill) is the slooow grab. Nair can get shielded and footstooled(if luma is there, a luma dair would be guarantied from the footstool) on close hit according to kirbykid in dabuz stream a few days ago. If its even a faster escape then getting jabbed after naired on shield it does make shielding a very viable option and hard for Zss to deal with used correcly.

Some stuff about the edgeguard just because i feel like sharing it:

Down b can get upaired (try going offstage to bait the down b> upair), works suprisingly well since i thought earlier there were no way to pressure her offstage(and if they recover very low, you can dair the top of the down b).

Haven't tested much but i think jumping out to threaten with backair to bait the down b> upair is probably one of the most pressuring ways of edgeguarding her. Another benefit to that would be that the luma upairhit would send her closer to the blastzone, even though she does gain height from it, she looses her down b.

Here are some tourney videos on my Rosalina. I co-main Rosalina and Link and play them based on the match-up numbers. However I defer to Link usually when it's even in my opinion. If I go Link in a match it's usually just once.

Every tourney I face the same person (JPeds) and his Dark Pit to lose. I've barely played this MU in general and I don't have anyone to practice it on. Advice would be much appreciated for Dark Pitt and any other characters or aspects.

From my latest tournament. I ended up losing in the end. Not really feeling the Marth MU. I think I was rolling too much and I think after I lost game 2 I was on tilt a bit. Definitely missed an opportunity to win the set in game 2. Game 2 I went Olimar.

Hello Rosie boards! I'm curious as to whether I could just link the stream's past broadcast and cite the times that I'm playing or if you want youtube videos instead. The stream that serves our tournaments in WI doesn't upload all streamed matches to Youtube but I was hoping I'd be able to get some critique on all of my matches as a person that's picking up Rosie for the first time.

Yeah you can just cite the time of your matches. However it's better to time-stamp them or better yet put them on Youtube. Easier on the viewers that way :). On Youtube it's much simpler to go back and forth within the match and that could help you get better feedback.

Hey I was wondering if anyone would be able to critique this match from the last tourney I went to.
Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

You use that option like its bnb, and it doesn't work (frame 17 is very slow), use something else like jab for example since it's safe since you usually can shield(meaning also spotdodge, oos punish or roll) any retaliation or doublejab it. Check the video and count the number of missed fsmashes and see if you got punished or hit more with it. Thats the main thing i noticed and it were kinda big part of your game.
I think I saw dtilt used once, and it were more effective.

Sorry it took so long to post the stuff I said I was gonna post. The streamers uploaded only one set of mine which happened to be one I lost to a Pikachu. This is a MU that I'm not comfortable with yet as Rosalina (I've actually done a good job of beating this same player with Zelda). I'd definitely like to get some feedback as I'm looking to pick up Rosie exclusively and am still learning her MU's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ0dVTn96cc

None of the other sets were put on youtube but I'll copy the stream here with notes of when I played for anyone interested in watching and critiquing more of my play.

http://www.twitch.tv/eventhorizon/v/21295981

I start at 1:45:22 and end at 1:54:44
Also start at 2:26:37 and end at 2:43:00

Singles, I start at 3:48:00 and end at 3:56:49
My only other set in singles that got on stream is in the Youtube video.

Sorry for not being able to timestamp anything. Thanks to anyone that actually takes the time to go through the stream and critique my play. I thoroughly appreciate any feedback.

I have a question. I was the Ike fighting Eldin's Rosalina and I need some serious help.

18:03

Was that at all survivable? I don't know if I DI'd wrong or if T&C just messed me over. It's one of those 50/50 occasions where airdodge would have likely gotten me killed anyway, but I'm surprised a double Uair combos so late in damage.

It seems as though the type of uair you got hit with you couldn't DI it. Double uair works if she gets the late hit box. I could be wrong but it looks like you could've dj or air dodged the first uair.

I don't think you can. You got hit with the weak hitbox of uair and that should combo into a 2nd uair if the Rosalina is paying attention.
But I could have still DI'd the second one, right? I didn't die with red lightning, and I don't know if airdodging or jumping would have made the difference.

Maybe but because of the reduced knockback on the first one it seems like the 2nd won would be hard to avoid. I think air dodge probably wouldl've allowed to you escape.

That's because of the fact you can read it and punish it with another upair, but still use it use it wisely

They always tell me to airdodge less. :(
I was going to say it depends on the context of the situation. In the situation when Rosalina is going for the double uair string air dodge is probably your best bet to escape it (I think). If rosa only gets one uair on you and she's just waiting underneath you she's waiting for the air dodge, To continue the juggle or trying to bait you to do something. There's things you should keep into account when being juggled by Rosalina. You should recognize the difference in the situations for when she's going to go for 2 uair or juggle traps, Keep in mind that double uair is a true combo on some characters and make sure you pay attention to whether she used her second jump or not.

That would help tremendously. I am an Ike main, and I have been beaten in bracket by three different Rosalinas - Neos, Xaltis, and Eldin - who all knew how to use her Uairs. Ike is combofood for her Uairs, so I'm always stuck in a rut when facing them.

Rosalina's juggle game can present a huge problem to a lot of characters. Depending on the situation you may just have to take it.
