I hope Sakurai took precautions and this is all part of his trolling. He knew Western Nintendo employees would probably leak something.. Watch the Duck Hunt Dog model be that of a trophy, but he put it in the ESRB video to FOOL US ALL-

Sakurai and the team did do a great job of trying to keep the roster as secretive as possible, imagine the traffic a site would get if they managed to get exclusive pictures of Ridley, or any other unofficially announced character for that matter. Though a red herring from someone within Nintendo would be funny.

I think the leaked roster is all there is, but that's my personal interpretation of the evidence,

I'm actually legitimately surprised people have taken it at face value, but I'm realizing now that a LOT of people think I've said more than I ever had. Things several other leakers have said have all been attributed to me, creating this image some people have where I somehow know everything about this game.

I heard from a friend of a friend that Duck Hunt, Robin and Bowser Jr were in the game. That was the extent of my "insider" knowledge. I was then able to confirm the MF 4chan leaker was lying, when he came to me, proved his identity and then stumbled over his own lies repeatedly.

With regards to Ridley's custom moves, I rather like the idea that some of his custom moves would revolve around the use of Phazon. I can imagine that it could alter his fire breath to fire a slower, more powerful beam of pure corruption from his mouth. It would require longer charge time, but the damage output would be significantly more potent.

I also like the thought of him just firing an enormous Phazon laser from his mouth. I'm not sure if that has any basis in canon (it's been a very, very long time since I've played the Prime series), but my word would it be outstanding to see.

Canonically he's only had Phazon fired out of his tail as part of a slow spinning attack, sadly. Do like your idea though.

Concerning the leaked roster, guys, the japanese commercial has what is apparently the starting roster of the 3ds version.

The leaked roster obviously had more. So with that said, please take this with a grain of salt, and I mean a lot, don't freak out, pls. The starting roster implies that Bowser Jr, DHD, Dark Pit, Doctor Mario, Wario, Game & Watch, Jigglypuff, Ness, Ganondorf, Lucina, Falco, and R.O.B are all unlockable characters. This definitely puts Ridley, alongside Dixie and Mewtwo in question, as why would they want to exclude those 3, yet have all the other characters on the leak shown? Why risk showing off unannounced characters, when all you could have done is judge through the starting roster, with the least amount of newcomers?

Hopefully I am just looking too deep into this, but it does seem fishy. I could understand if it were just the unannouced characters, but leaving out confirmed characters like Lucina definitely raises eyebrows.

Anyway, I'd like all of your thoughts, peacefully, pls.

I took a look at the roster and it doesn't add up with what we saw in that css shot. 39 trophies after Wario. Including him that's 40. There's 7 characters before him in the css we saw. That's 47 going by that trophy image. Even if we don't count the random/Mii Fighter slot, we'd end up with 48 trophies. Assuming you figure that the trophies at the end are aligned for the final roster. Since the roster screen has 48 characters, and 49 if you count the random/mii fighter slot, it's impossible for this to indicate the final roster size as it would contradict the current roster.

Yay I made myself feel better.


Edit to Zeox: I've seen this before and if we turn "to be revealed" into "to be removed" and change Wario into Wolf, it lings up pretty well with the assumed final five characters. Hope to all the spice parites in the world that it's legit. Can only play the waiting game, sadly.
