How hard did the brawl decomformation hit this place?

Hard to say since Ridley threads became banned before that even happened. :\

I think that Brawl was over hyping caused by the fans, as all Ridley had going for him then is that his theme was confirmed to appear in game

His home stage Norfair was also revealed beforehand. With some characters/newcomers in Brawl that had their home turfs as stages, Ridley being playable seemed almost all but certain at the time, not to mention he wasn't teased/hinted/speculated to be a slow flying pinata in Norfair like he's been for Pyrosphere.

And on Brawl being over hyping caused by the fans.. Implying this game is any different? lol

To be honest, the war between the Geno and Ridley thread was so heated that I think both were equally crushed by the fact that there was no winner to the "war" as they were that Ridley didn't make it into the game.

Can't say I remember that but then again it might be one of my repressed memories.

We saw the kind of designs Little Birdie turned into after harvesting on a bunch of Ki-Hunters and a couple humans in Other M. I wonder what kind of different Ridley it would turn into now after all these "sacrifices" from several different species...

Probably when he eats Ghirahim and Dark Pit.

Oh, I look forward to him eating the dark feathers of Pit's doppelganger then. Anyone else is just an unfortunate casualty (especially if it's poor Nintendog or Chunky Kong if him being AT is true), and Ghirahim would need to stay alive for that trophy theory from the direct to remain alive (for the time being at least), so... yeah.

Seeing those images kinda makes me uncomfortable, even though they're just drawings.

The problem I find with them is that if the respective fans see these images, they may end up becoming detractors (if they aren't one already)...

There's enough of those (detractors) already, we don't need any more ._.

If people became detractors just because of that art, shows how little skin they had to begin with.

Looks like he ate at least half of the skin whatever there was on her skull...i can't wait for other images, but i have a question - will ALL of the assist trophies be included? If yes...then what will happen to Mother Brain and Dark Samus? Latter one lacks anything he could eat and is just unhealthy food.

Then eating Dark Samus would just give Birdie a Phazon evolution line, like how the Metroids' evolution line was altered by Phazon in the Primes. Birdie eating a giant brain in a tank is still infinitely more amusing though, or Andross for that matter.

And people keep wondering why Zero Mission is my favorite design...

Zero Mission Ridley looked better in that concept design with teh glowy red than he did in-game though, IMO, but still looked pretty sick on the cutscene when he was landing on Zebes with his ship.

I'm officially a Ridley for smash supporter.
I was neutral at first, but now most of the anti-Ridley wanters are getting kinda annoying, acting like Ridley has a 0% chance and that Ridley supporters will kill themselves if he doesn't get in, where both are totally not true.

That gets me thinking, which version do you guys want to be the Default Model for Ridley? And which one for the Alternate Costume?

Basically, which Ridley should be the one to have a Mugshot on the Character Select Screen?

I am 100% sure it is Roidley because of that shadow on Pyrosphere (it is either 100% Roidley, his redesign/revamp/whatever or hybrid) and he is either without Ridley alt costume or with one that looks like something between classic Ridley and Roidley, keeping Roidley's proportions (long arms, big wings, etc) while looking like classic one (skinny without such muscles, beak bent downward, a bit bulkier head, etc). Meta Ridley could be an alt costume for Roidley too, but he would still need to be redesigned to fit Roidley's proportions and everything. They could add classic Ridley alt, but that would require making new animations just to avoid making it look like Pikadorf.

The corocoro is supposed to only go over the 3DS stages, so this will only be an issue if Pyrosphere is available on both platforms.
