Tatsu, are those times on the bracket the times we're supposed finish the matches by? It's very hard to schedule such short deadlines for people, especially when it's so short notice. It would be better if you set a deadline a week from now or something like that, and have everyone finish their matches by then.

Um, no Poke Balls by "high demand"? Only one person had an issue with Poke Balls. No one else had a problem (at least they didn't say they did...). I think that if you're not sure whether or not you should allow them, there should be a vote.
Also I'd bring up the Low Tier thing, but as I'm the only one who has an issue with it, it would be hypocritical of me to mention it now...

I talked to Global and he had a problem with the poke balls as well. If we conducted a poll letting every person that entered the tourny say their piece I'm sure the majority would agree they should be off. It just makes the tourny more legit. I'm not sure if given the choice why you'd want them on. They are very disruptive to the fun even when set at low (they still spawn every 30 seconds or so while I tested this out yesterday).
And keep in mind, Zatch is a monster with items and I use snake (meaning most of even the most devastating effects won't kill me). And we both have great movement tools to get items faster than many other characters. In other words, if probably would have helped instead of hindered our team so I'm not saying this out of bias. I just think it would result in a better tourny experience for everyone. It would be lame to have a ton of people get salty or John about losing because of items. Feel free to disagree but do justify.

I don't have a problem with pokeballs. I'm pretty sure I said that I would use Pika because they were on... Puff is kinda meh when it comes to items.

Tatsu, I'm cool with doing our matches today. Just to warn you however, Link/Albatross tend to come on later. I'm guessing they'll be on about 6-8 hours from now.

Oh? That's what I remember saying.
You said your Jigglypuff you feel is much better in doubles than your Pikachu when I suggested you go with Pikachu instead. That's all that was said on the matter of which character you'd use and why. You didn't consider items at all. As for when I did bring up items you agreed that they should probably be off.
If you don't remember that's fine, if you've changed your mind please just say this.

I can probably play today though it'd have to be around now or after say 7:00pm EST. Otherwise, I can play mostly anytime after 2:30pm EST on the weekdays.
Also <3 Marth's glide tosses.
Too bad there aren't any diddy players in this tourney, I like using there own nanars against them as Marth.

I was considering going Diddy, but he's one of the most frustrating characters to use in Lag and I didn't want to risk it. Btw just because you can glide toss with Marth doesn't mean you'll be able to magically use them effectively against Diddys especially when they'll be expecting it.
Anyways it looks like everyone will be present during that time if Tatsu shows up. Let's aim to do this today.

I'm sorry, but please stop trying to speak for everyone. Who said the majority would agree with your opinion? Have you asked everyone? No, you haven't. You asked one person, who apparently you've had some sort of miscommunication with. Who says the items are disruptive to the fun? I know I don't think they are. Quite the contrary, actually. Unfortunately only your word shouldn't be enough to warrant the items being removed. If Tatsu wants to keep it that way then fine, I'll apologize for wasting everyone's time and back off. But he has yet to address this issue properly, so I standby my opinion of a poll about whether or not Poke Balls should be allowed.
And there's no need to bring up you or your partner's skill with items. I don't know what your aim is by saying that but it brings no substance whatsoever towards your argument. Unless you're trying to intimidate others into agreeing with you, in which case you are not being the best sport (notice that I am not accusing you of anything, merely speculating at what you might be implying). I do hope that's not the case.
You misread what I said. The point about Albatross being good with items is completely relevant to my argument because it shows that if I were biased I'd be pushing for items to be on, not off. Lol @ intimidation.

That's fine, I apologize for misunderstanding and thinking the worst of you.
I agree, however if there's a disagreement, I think it may be in the best interest to at least attempt a poll.
I'm not new to the OTL, or Smash in general. I'm fully aware the standard for tournaments online and off, and why the items are normally off. Something you need to remember is that not all tournaments here in the OTL are meant to be serious. Now, not trying to be rude or disrespectful in any way (and I apologize deeply if I come off as such), but I think if you want a serious doubles tournament, it would be a good idea to host your own (especially because there seems to be a decent spike of activity here in the OTL).
Now if we're in a somewhat mutual agreement here, all we need is for Tatsu to respond with the verdict...

I don't think any matches have been played out yet so there are no results to speak of. But as soon as you can contact link2 we can have our match. Btw he said he's be available around 7.

I've already explained to you that doing well timed edge hogs can be pretty technical and it would change the entire metagame if no one did it. Basically recoveries being bad would be meaningless. Characters like Olimar would be God tier. This is not the place to bring it up again.Sorry for the mention o rightous and true batman of smashboards lol.
By the way things are looking the only complains are the items being on and the only dishonest thing i can sense is edge-hogging but that is my perspective on it.
I've also explained to you that edge guarding (something you DO do) is just as bad if not worse.

I just realized the deadlines are so short (yeah I'm mad slow, get @ me
