Am I the only one who feels the Oli/D3 matchup may not be as much in our favor as we may think? It seems like every time I play a Dedede I have more trouble than the last time. Maybe I just suck.

It requires a little getting used to, but it is an easy matchup. Just don't get grabbed, and camp him. If he gets close, just grab, and if he stays in the air, have patience. He is a massive target, it's easy to hit him with stuff.

Basically just throw more pikmin (the answer to every matchup).

I beat Lord Knight at my last tournament and only took 14% damage. <_<

He didn't really know how to fight Olimar, I think. Both Atomsk and CO18 give me some trouble. This is a matchup where you're gonna have to be a little more surprisingly aggressive. The only way DDD can approach is by going high, sort of like how MK approaches us. You can shut that down by throwing out a uair every once in a while to catch him, and then it's back to just outcamping him on the ground.

olimar has the advantage in this match up, your most likely getting out smarted by the person not the char.

I have a friend who just destroys me when he uses Dedede against my Olimar. I'm pretty sure there is way to use Dedede to counter Olimar very successfuly

Also... olimar has a good matchup on all of high tier, save for falco. I think, in terms of easy-ness, it goes DDD--R.O.B.---MK-Snake/G&W---Falco
Just my opinion.
No love for falco (use IC's ^^; )

You were right :D but the d3 was at 129 last stock. Falco isn't too bad, his pikmins are laser sponges, and falcos are relatively easy to predict, plus you outrage them by a ton.

I remember reading somewhere (I think the SBR discussion of olimar) M2K saying that d3 can dthrow-> dtilt-> edgehog at the edge. It may not work though.

EDIT: Sorry, he had said

he's also boring to fight against unless you grab release him at the edge and down tilt to edge hog LOL

He didn't refer to a specific character, so I don't know who he means or if it even works.
