I got "that Kappa" off of the Crank-a-Kai, myself.

Is this relevant to anything? Not really.

Does it get me any closer to getting a super-rare yet mind-numbingly awesome Crank-a-Kai Yokai like what my mind pictures that Frostail I've heard about to probably be? Heck no.

If you have a big pile of Crank-a-Kai coins and enough patience, you can always save near the shrine and just save scum to check the top three coins of every coin stack. Their results are fixed at least from the time you get them, but at least you'll know what you have.

A forum? Sick! Love this series! It's officially my seventh favourite series. The game was amazing, charming, humorous, full of personality! 10/10! I'm training some of my lower level Yo-Kai trying to get them to 25. Then build from there. My highest level Yo-Kai is Thornyan level 44. Trying to make all my Yo- Kai stronger, I have 46 Yo-Kai medals now. Looking forward to more side quests. And leveling up for Infinite Inferno!

Glad you're having fun! You should try getting Shogunyan soon, he's a much better option to use than Thornyan IMO.
From what I recall, you will need these Yo-kai to get him.

He's worth training and getting.

Thanks I'll try one day! To be honest. Half of my Yo-Kai are evolved or I just don't have all of them. Will try one day. But I've fused Dismerelda with Happiere to create Reverse. Draggie is Dragon Lord now. The main Jibanyan I had the one you get in the story. Is Thornyan ECT. I will try one day but I know there's a couple of places to get them. So I will try one day. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot someday!

So.
I've fought up TO the Circle 7 boss.
Took care of the two optional boss yokai (not the onis).
3 of the 4 "super yokai" that you can fight once a day, haven't won against the sewer boss.
Feelin' pretty good on the whole.
Just afraid of fighting the C7 Boss, Sewer Boss, Snartle, or Red Oni atm.
So I've been catching a few yokai.
And I REALLY believe that Popularity stacks given how quickly I got the 3 main yokai I missed out on at the school.

64% Medallium.

I need to check what's the last yokai I need for the second seal and nab that... it's the one between Casanuva and Mad Mountain.

Edit: Lava Lord. Museum Floor 2 encounter to the right of the stairs. Possible to grind the Skelebella at this encounter spot too.

I'm debating to try to catch a Grumples down here so my Everfore will be higher level.

Also beat the C7 boss.

Easier than the version of it in the story.

...I feel like the C8 boss is going to tear me to bits.

What attitude does the yokai keep when you fuse it?

Honestly I feel like in this game the lower you catch and raise something the stronger it will be, since you can choose what attitude you level it up as instead of it being automatic

Nah.
Attitude resets on fusion.
My Stiff and Rough Beetler evolved into a Carefree and Grouchy Beetall.
Not sure on level evos

The only real time that a defensive yokai would be "needed" is to use Sticker of Hate to have them be a tank, specifically against things like Awevil, Snartle, and the 3 oni. My suggestion being a Castellius Max (at least against the last 4, not sure about Awevil) and using something like Rhinoggin to help boost it with the Tough unity.

And don't replace Shogunyan with Beetall, imo. He has slightly better stats, the same basic inspirit, and his soultimate is aoe instead of single target.

I've been looking up Bloominoko trick, and I don't see anything that helps with EXP.

What about the Yokai you're "obligated" to recruit before you can trigger Jibanyan's event?
Because, if so, your options look like this.
Nicada, Buhu, Jibanyan, Baku, Walkappa, Wazzat, Komasan, Mirapo, Ratelle, Draggie, Venoct.
+/- a small collection from Dimmy, Noway, Leadoni, Negatibuzz, Roughraff, Dulluma, Hungramps

But, I guess I can just befriend a couple people at this point and just replace them ASAP

I've been using a line of Pinkipoo - Shmoopie - Casanuva.
I'm getting a befriending pop up with like 60% of battles now.

My befriending chance has just been really friggin high feeling whenever I use that front line.
With those 3 all having the Popularity Skill.
Pure conjecture, but it's felt convincing. Especially when I had 1 Yokai with Popularity on the front line during that abysmal streak of Agons.

...What level was your team?
Just to know how terrible my set up is.
Because I've been busy just grabbing some extra yokai before doing more cam trick for holy orbs.
71% Compendium. 1 Yokai away from Legends 3 & 4.

Edit: I meant Medallium... Persona games have gotten to me.
