so although my hub isn't the real hub, as of right now, its the only one that works x__x

so if you people need a temporary place to chat you can come to mine if you want, i just want to make it clear that we have not made any sort of agreement to transfer the responsibility of who runs the SWF hub lol.

after i downloaded it i clicked on it and it asked me what to open it with. i just opened it with the default and then it came up again. everytime i try to open it, it just comes up again. i don't know how to install it.

You probably got it in a .RAR file, and you probably don't have WinRAR.

Get WinRAR there. It allows you to de-compress .RAR files, which is probably what your BCDC++ files came in.

After that, you don't need to "install" it. Unlike DC++, it just runs when you open the executable file.

It's on the first page, look for "download directory" It's in the settings menu.

And, you're probably just imagining it.

That doesn't make any sense. If you keep posting useless things just to raise your post count, you will be temporarily banned from posting at all or something. So DON'T DO IT.

Anyways, since the other thread was closed before I could answer your question (and since this is the proper thread anyway, now that you're here), I suppose I should resolve your personal phobia of having someone know your IP. Getting your IP address is nothing for you to worry about. The supermods here can get it right now. Oops, better leave SWF. In fact, if you use any Internet Service, it's possible for someone else using it to get your IP. Ever sent a picture over through AIM? The recepient can do a simple command in DOS and get your IP. In fact, the DNS you type in that is REQUIRED to access WJ's hub can be used in DOS to get his IP through an easy process called pinging.

The simple fact, MyKo, is that your IP is not that important. Besides, your IP can change over time. If you use Cable it doesn't change much, but if you use DSL it changes every week or so on average. And if you use a dial-up modem, it changes each time you connect.

So drop your fears, there's nothing to worry about whatsoever.
