how do you beat lou in pools then lose in brackets

Well in pools it was a fight, but in bracket it turned into a time out war, each match was last stock close damage.

1st game was on BF (or SV), I timed him
2nd was on Norfair, I charged him with 20 seconds left and we almost killed eachother, him with the final hit
3rd was on PS1, same results as 2nd match

we hogged livestream for half an hour with our set
I really hate playing like this, timing people out is too boring =/

This tournament was a little weird for me. Only neutrals were played in pools, and it was a 7 stage strike, with Halberd and PS1 as neutrals along with Lylat, and the usual 4. People only played 2 matches against each other, so I may have placed higher in my pool if matches weren't left at 1-1, it just gave people one more win than me, since I went 4-8 overall in matches. It kinda sucks, I may have had a chance of making it out of pools if it was sets instead of matches, but whatever. /johns

Lylat is usuallyy a neutral, PS1 is a stretch but allowed, if u look at the SBR, they also recomend stages like halberd, and castle seige as counterpick/neutrals, 7 neutral stages are kinda weird though cause the norm is 5, and like wow, u cant cp in pools, gay >.>

I've been to a tournament where Lylat was a CP and PS1 was a neutral, so I just clarified on that, lol. And yea, CPing would have been great, but whatever. It was still an awesome tournament overall, and I got a smashfest to look forward to next weekend. =)

$2 MM vs Xzax (Wolf) I won 2-0

All matches I was ROB except against Vex I went Wario/MK because I knew there was absolutely no way I would win with ROB so I might as well have tried something different.

Really stupid loss to a Luigi -_-
Did a bad air dodge at the wrong time and got hit with a full charged up angled fsmash and died at 55, then after all the work to make the comeback I got hit with a jab upB. I did over twice the damage he did that match and lost lol.

SDI away(or if you can't do that, regular DI away) every time Luigi jabs. Not too hard. :x Pretty sure he can't Jab > Up-B us unless we DI into it or (at certain percents) don't DI at all. I could be wrong on that, just know that every time I've SDI+DI'd away, it's never hit.

Jab up-b only works if hes inside at like rest distance. Otherwise he has to jab dsmash. I believe magus made a thread about what moves combos from jab on every character. You should check it out.

The Luigi I played, YoshQ, told me that it's almost guaranteed on ROB, because of his size. Plus, he's really good at reading tilts and rolling right behind people. He nearly beat Ally's Snake by doing it. 0_o

On a side note: Buenob did outplace me at the 1st tourney and got 13/52, then we tied and got 17/65

I beat buenob in pools at the 1st tourney, and he beat me in pools at the recent tourney (however I used Olimar vs him so it doesn't matter ) (and yes we were put in the same pool both tourneys.

In the 1st tourney I obtained 1st seed while he obtained 3rd.
In the 2nd tourney I obtained 3rd seed while he obtained 4th

In the 1st tourney Buenob got 9/17 in teams
In the 2nd tourney I didnt play teams, Buenob got 7/21

Silh, it's pretty common for people to want to be recognized even when they've made no real effort to become recognized in the environment they wish to be recognized in. A PR is basically a massive form of recognition...so yeah..that's why people come out the wood works.

Im disappointed with my final placement, I was extremely close to beating Quivo and choked 2nd game with a stock lead and he brought it back, I would have taken 5th otherwise.
