Haven't the past 2 PS' had atleast 10 of our big names?
No.

10 isn't some holy PR number. Haven't a 10 person PR isn't proof of an active scene or legit players. I've seen states far better than MI with less than a top 10 PR and states with worse scenes having 10 ranked players plus honorary mentions.

Also DRDN agrees with top 10 so that's proof that we shouldn't use it.

I don't even know who's the best in our state anymore. Everything seems... scrambled.

What? Zinoto. That was easy. Given, we may have to put Ray at 1 since he got his wins at the small tournaments then dipped when competition and a Zinoto rematch would happen again. Luckily this just means we'll never see him again as long as Zinoto keeps attending things, much like SK kept him at bay for us before.

I think this season should be top 8 with 2-3 HMs I think it could solve a lot.

We aren't crowding the PR with unneeded players, but we are giving a little light to players who were just shy of getting ranked.

Yeah sorry WTP I just thought about how consistent Zinoto was for the last 3 tourneys. 1st, 2nd, and 4th. I think that if Zinoto goes to Vengeance and does well, he should get 1st IMO.

With lain out of practice and SK getting such a low placement zinoto should be auto first I'm more curious as to roller and sk
By that Rayquaza should be #1 since he beat Zinoto twice. This is going to be an interesting season nonetheless.

Now that I'm good enough to be in the PR without question, who gives a hell about those scrubs behind in my rear view mirror
Fixed.

Though 8 man PR is the way to go if you aren't certain about the back half.

so like, half the tournaments being mk banned and half not

i dont even get how you'll do rankings lol
That's why you have 2 PR's for MK legal and MK banned.

Seriously though, you just go by wins vs peoples mains. If people beat you in a MK banned tournament against your :ukario:, it's not a quality win and shouldn't be viewed as something more than it is. If someone beats your MK in a MK legal tournament, then it's not a quality win because you're a scrub it at least counts as a true win.

That's why I'm proposing that we base rankings off of friendlies.
That's how we do it in Nebraska, glad thugz is finally rubbing off on you guys.

did you guys forget about kenny
So with zinoto rage kenny roller tech tutu sk mikey you still think you can't make a top 10?
Kenny is ineligible, he has only entered 1 singles tourney this season.
Like Ori said, Kenny has only entered 1 tourney this season. And his only solid win at this was Sneaky, which is not solid enough for him to be in even the top 5.

SK has also attended only 1 tourney. And even if SK did enter another, his performance at PS3 didn't gain him any legit wins vs PR'd/previously PR'd players.

Eligible Players:

Rage does have 2 wins vs Zinoto, a win vs Mikey, a win vs me and a win vs Tech.

Zinoto has a win over Rage. 3 wins over me (God, we play too often. lol). 2 wins over Mikey (they do too). A win over Sneakytako. and a win over Coco.

I have a win over King Toon. 2 wins over Coco. And a win over Speed.

Mikey has a win over Zinoto. A win over Tutu. A win over Lain.

Lain is actually eligible, his notable wins right now include Tech and Domo.

Coco has 2 wins over Tutu.

Tutu has a win over Zinoto.

Tech has a win over SK.

Gio has a win over Sean (NorCal).

fZk has a win over Coco.

Did not include MI tourney pools. But they don't count for that much in our criteria anyway.
Did not count people with less than 2 tournament appearances other than the 2 previously mentioned.
Did not count fZk or Gio as significant wins however. Maybe I should?

Leaving out fZk and Gio as notable wins for now, only 5 people have met the activity requirement with more than 1 win. I honestly have no idea how to order the bottom half. They are basically a cluster**** of anomalous shining moments or wins over each other.

VENGEANCE & Skynet 2 remain for this season. (and Uprise of Long Island, for me.) Hopefully people can take some more names.

EDIT: Names not listed in any particular order, other than the names with only one win being listed after the ones with multiple wins.

why do you include sauc3 in your post? he is unranked in his region. Thats kinda like saying wins over ori are legit and should be considered when doing rankings (though obviously sauc3 is better) but unranked is unranked

Alright, I removed him from the wins.
i'm pretty sure this issue was addressed last season

people who arent ranked shouldnt be considered notable wins (concerning me and fzk)
We most certainly DID count people who were not ranked as notable wins. Or should someone beating Zinoto have gone overlooked?

It's only people who would be getting PR'd this coming season (that hadn't been before) that we would look at in this way though. Either way, the 2 are bottom of the list right now so I'll leave them off as wins. The Panel will figure out what we deem fit to acknowledge when we discuss it amongst each other.

EDIT: I also added Mikey's wins. I forgot him for some reason, lol.

Zinoto
Rayquaza
Mikey
Roller
Lain
Tutu
Tech
Coco
Gio

Sean is better than the wins till Roller but it's all you have and the people above you have managed to not lose to bad people.

yo ron and i both beat roller, and ron beat some other ppl i believe, y are we not noted?

Why you were not.

Come now, we're multiple seasons into this. You should know by now that people don't take pools seriously.
Otherwise WTP's win over Kain, Coco's win over Meek, and multiple other matches would be cited. Pools don't really matter, and people don't care much about them.

Did not count people with less than 2 tournament appearances other than the 2 previously mentioned.
I had not realized Ron had entered PS2. I assumed he was under this category.

He could be noted. Though it would be pointless, as it isn't enough to put him above anyone short of fZk, who wont be making it as is.

Wow@beating zinoto enough for me to get PR'd.

He's not even good

looking at wtp's list reinforces that we shouldn't go [past 5 PR.

Idc what we do about HM because then the skill drop off becomes blatant but 5 pr is a fine amount

Although it would be cool to be pr'd again, I understand that 2 tourneys might not be enough data for me. I'm fine with beating two possible pr's (Gio & Coco) and specially happy about not having bad loses which has been downfall many times (lost to (Zinoto, Roller) & (mjg,Kain)). Even sets that I lost weren't all bad, taking Zinoto and Lain (pools) to game 3.

I guess you get better when you don't touch the game for 7 months lol.

Zinoto is really good IMO. He just lacks MU experience. I wish that I could have gotten to play with him more. I will definitely make a point of playing with him if I can go to Vengeance because I am looking forward to him making some upsets in the future.
