The Official "Megaman in SSBB" Topic!

Ok, now more seriously: The Dojo was opened for only one reason: To hype the game "Super Smash Brothers Brawl" for Wii (tm). The game comes out in less than three weeks in japan. And with the exception of todays update, we got almost NOTHING to be hyped about for the last 3 months. If you are not a hardcore or competetive player who looks at the small things in a game, you almost all care only for one thing: Characters. These are the ones you actually PLAY the game with. And if you get more of them, then there are more ways to play a game. You want them, because you know them from your favourite games and sometimes have the sweetest memories... Sakurai, I want to say this: SHOW THEM to us! We want to see how you worked them out in the game. They deserve the same treatment as the other characters on the site (well, except for Zelda...^^) Show them to the people who spent the last 9 months looking at the dojo every day to see if their favourite video game character finally made it into the game. You oew it to the fans, Sakurai, as much as we thank you for creating the wonderful Smash Brothers Franchise.

Competitive players didn't care about the past 3 months either.

Navi Mode is just straight ports of the Japan exclusive PSX ports of Rockman 1-6, thw Complete Works.

I know that, Plu. The MM1-6 in AC are the CW RM1-6, I've known that since forever. I was merely explaining navi mode.

Not really, I still had fun and it was still a challenge. I had navi mode on for the remixed music anyway. Please try Anniversary Collection yourself before making judgments.

Hi guys, I'm a new poster here but I've been lurking for months. I'm the same as you, a huge Smash fan, eagerly awaiting each new Dojo update every night, etc. etc. No introduction necessary, really. I just wanted to actually start posting and get in on all the fun before the game's release in a couple of weeks.

And, obviously, being a massively huge Mega Man fan, my #1 hope for Brawl is that he's in it. I've been all but sure about his inclusion in Brawl (I mean really, how could he not be in?) up to a few weeks ago/Mega Man's 20th anniversary, which is when my hope started to wane a little. But seeing so much hope still alive here has gotten me excited about Mega Man still being a possibility, so here's hoping.

Either way, I'm so excited for Brawl it's scary. In any case, nice to meet you all and I'm looking forward to riding out these last couple weeks and keeping hope alive for Mega Man.

Yes, I'm a new member to the Smash Forums but I'm not a Smash n00b. As I said, I've been lurking for months and I'm usually on my phone or at my computer at 11 PM PST every weekday night, furiously refreshing the Smash Dojo in anticipation of the day's update... like I would imagine most of you are.

Something I've been reading on the forums lately (and a couple of pages ago in this thread) has been bothering me though -- some are claiming that Sakurai said every character would be revealed on the Dojo before Brawl's launch. I've followed Brawl extremely closely (as I do with all games I'm anticipating) but I don't remember him having said that. Can anyone confirm where this comes from?

If it's true, it really makes me wonder if we're going to get more than our 24 confirmed characters. I mean really, even when we were getting new character updates frequently (before the two-and-a-half month stretch with no character reveals), they were usually no less than two weeks apart... and the game launches in two weeks in Japan, so if it's true, there isn't much more time for Sakurai to live up to his alleged word. It sure would be weird (and disappointing as hell) if Brawl ended up having less than Melee's 25 characters...

Then again, we still don't know what icons 13 and 19 are, now do we? And I'm still skeptical that he even said that. Can anyone shed some light on it?

first off, welcome to the thread ^_^

second, sakurai never said he would reveal all the characters himself. He said he wouldn't get "too hung up on" hidden characters, whatever that may mean. But at this point, I find it unlikely he would reveal every character in the game.

And icon 13 is most likely Game & watch. icon 19 is up in the air, though seeing that it was placed right next to sonic's, it would be pretty safe to assume that's megaman's icon, being rd party and all. But that's just a completely wild guess.

Where the guy admitted it was false just as quickly as he put it up, and has not been heard of since? I know people called shenanigans because of the lack of WTF characters, Ness, and Young Link. Notice though how all the characters were arranged to the day they were revealed on the Dojo? Take a look at who is after DDD, Olimar! Now right now it is just coincedence, but if one of the next two updates are Krystal or Sheik, and once they are updated, after them come Jigglypuff and King K.Rool. This will be more than coincedental, this will be Nintendo shutting down a person who revealed the roster ahead of time, and they forced him to say it was a lie to keep it secretive.

Anyways, I thought this was quite funny, what do you all think? I know this roster is too perfect to be true, but maybe Sakurai actually listened to the fans and gave the most requested characters, than threw PT as the Game and Watch of the newcomers? Anyways, wishful thinking, but I will keep my eye on this though. Maybe there is hope for Megaman! ^_^

This was released in November (after DDD), but the guy who put it up quickly said it was false. I noticed today though a pattern, we will see if it sticks; if it does you guys just spoiled yourselves.
