I think they just don't like the fact that Zero got his sissy new look and that X was a... cyber elf.

But anyways ordered Mega man ZX Advent off of E-Bay.

I dont think of it as a failure. but I havnt played any of the Z or ZX games, so I wouldnt have any reason to think of it as a failure.

As for the Zero series, I never knew it existed until the fourth one came out, and I didn't want to play that one first. So, I haven't played it and can't say anything bad about it.

i loved the gameplay in the zero series, but when x died in megaman zero 2 i was SO pissed. i suppose some people didn't like them because of the difficulty, i could see it being frustrating if you weren't a megaman junkie.

I made a moveset for Mega Man Exe.

B Mega Buster: Tap B for rapid fire. Hold B for up to 3 seconds to unleash a charged attack.
B> Canon: Mega Man takes out an arm canon an aims at foe.
Bv Shock Waze: Uses Metaur's pick axe to send a paralyzing shockwave across the ground.
B^ Jack in/out: The jackout animation happens, then the jack in animation moves Megaman slightly forwards. When he lands, he lets out an electric burst.

Forward Smash Swords: Cyber Sword lunges forwards. Tap A again for Wide Sword, A again for Long Sword, then A+ </> for Life Sword.

FS Mode Change: Mega Man can dawn a Fire, Elec, Wood or Water suit for elemental attacks.

Alternate FS Full Synchro: Megaman gains a temporary power boost.

I played the entire Megaman Zero series. The story is very complex, thats why I love it so much. Capcom just has a habit of killing off their heroes at the end of the series.

Capcom: "Never send a robot into outer space, they will die there."

The zero series fails on many levels.

1: The story of the Zero series is fail on so many levels because it no only creates contridicting story plots for each game after, but also creates a mess a crap for the X series as well.

ZX however is far more simple to understand. Plus ZX series is better.

nor does he have a zero suit form
samus cant steal abilities
doesnt have an arsenal of over 100 moves to choose from

besides samus has more athletic moves cause shes a woman, megamans a kid, he would do basic hits ala mario...

well...I just have to lol at this.
if we had any forms of megaman at all they would be completely different from samus.
sure they both have arm cannons that charge, but even those are different on many levels.
so in other words megaman(any form) wouldnt be a samus clone.

A while back, I used to have a deep hatred for the Zero Series because to me it was a kick in the pants to X fans. It wasn't enough for Capcom to have Zero steal X's spotlight in X's own Series, but then they give him his own series as well? And what of X in the Zero series? He's just a cyber elf. I thought it was very unfair to X fans.

I also thought that because of the Zero series taking place after X, I didn't think X series had enough space to grow - everything would have to follow a certain pattern to fit into the ElF Wars saga. In other words, everything done in the X Series would eventually have to relate to the ElF Wars and thus a set ending for X's saga.

And finally, I detested Zero's newer design.

So, yeah. To me Zero's series was a big pile of fail. Though recently after listening to some Zero series tracks, I realize it's not such a bad series afterall. It's actaully starting to grow back on me.

Also, I forgot that Megaman has the ability to charge to multiple levels. Couple that with the ability to only be able to keep your charge by holding down the B button... we can finally shut up those "Megaman=Samus" doofs.

yes but we are still gonna get the "megaman would be a samus!" often because the front page cant be edited, I still think we should make a new thread with a proper front.(you know with all the info on megaman and what not.) but is anyone willing to do it? I would, but it will take me a moment to put in images, move sets, reasons why he should be in, counter arguments, ect.

well I havnt started yet it will take me a while to make(have to cover like 7+ forms of him) (if you guys will let me), I MIGHT have it ready before 11:00, but if I dont it will have to wait till next friday when I have time.

ok, i had asked that question because personally i seem to find that a lot of people i regularly deal with hate the series for many a odd reason (the only acceptable ones to me being X, Zero, and the Guardians' deaths and the series ending). I just wanted to get feedback from the thread members about this situation.

This video is supposed to start the X series, but is'nt Dr. Cain in X2? Did he clone himself or am I missing something? Btw theres 2 other parts too the video.

sure but due to how late it is(and I am going to pull an all nighter for two projects at once) I wont have it ready till this weekend.

nah I havnt played any zero games as of yet. I only get to buy a game like once every so often so I havnt gotten to yet. but I am interested in buying every megaman game I missed out on from what I learned here.(at least the ones that arnt EXE. or star force).
