Here's how I would see a battle between Mega and Smaus pan out: (classic mega)...
Im gonna skip the introductions and crap...
Smaus fires a missile at mega...
mega fires a charge shot back and dashes underneath...
The charge shot rips through samus' missile with little difficulty...
Facing a fully powered charge shot, Samus morph-balls and rolls under it, only to connect with Mega's foot a second later...
Samus is launched back, and morphs again...
Mega yells something about not having to fight while Samus pushes an array of buttons on here blaster...
Samus' ship slowly glides in and preps a missile assault...
just as the missiles come close to contacting, Rush glides by in his hover-board form...thing...
Mega jumps on and pulls straight up...
the barrage of missiles miss their mark completely and the shockwave knocks Samus back...
Mega hops off Rush and begins charging his buster as Samus does likewise...
They launch their blasts, but Samus pushes a button on her blaster unleashing a laser far more powerful than anything in Mega's arsenal...
The smoke from the blast covers the entire battlefield...
As the smoke clears, Samus' armor can be seen to break into several pieces, and a dark form is standing in front of Mega...
Blues, shield raised, asks if Mega's alright...
After confirmation, Blues teleports out...
Samus stands amazed at the defensive and offensive capablilities of these strange robots...
Mega stands up and calls to Rush...
The two merge together to form Mega's Power form...
Samus, know seeing defeat as a distinct eventuality, once again pushes a series of buttons on her blaster (know a laser pistol)...
Mega charges a shot and begins to walk towards Samus...
Just as Mega unleashes his shot, Samus' ship rockets up...
Samus backflips onto her space-craft and ducks inside...
Mega is seen standing, still on the battlefield, watching Samus retreat...
...
This was a one shot deal...
Completely un-planned and seen only through the hundreds of voices in my head...
So thank you and good night...

trust me he is, Sakurai just wont announce it quite yet, hes waiting till December third or the seventeenth but he plays mind games so he could announce it anytime. Capcom was next after Sega for third party characters and Megaman is their mascot so its a give, what we don't know is version.

glorius just glorius. but seriously, can we kill the whole Samus vs Mega Man thing? Its all based on opinion and its only a matter of time before we get people comin in here sayin mega is a clone and all that bs...
Im actually hopin there are least 2 more 3rd party characters so that sakurai can release Mega Man soon, and still have some characters left for hype

Heh, I wouldn't mind more 3rd parties after Megaman. I personally want Bomberman myself if there's a 4th third party character.
@hunter-x - I doubt we're getting Megaman on Dec 3. Although, there's a pattern where the first weekday of every other month is a new comer. We got Ike on Aug 1st and Lucas Oct 1st so it's possible. Dec. 1st and 2nd weekends, so we may very well get a newcomer on Dec.3, I know Sakurai tries to be unpredictable but so far that pattern's held true.

I hope megaman gets announced soon, then we can know what form gets in and what not. and maybe even a few of his moves besides the buster.
it should be december since we didnt get him on the last release date we expected. sakurai hasnt been predictable about most of his updates, but third parties have always been announced near dates related to them.(but then again the other companies usualy made this necissary anyways with what they did.)
I hope if we get a 4th its bomberman, there realy arnt that many third parties other than him and bomberman I want in(unless marina lite year is thirnd party but her case is harder to figure out than geno).

well..alt colors are a weird subject to to copy power color change issues, but assumeing he does have complete alt colors.
classic alts-
1.red and grey(protoman and red team)
2.black and orange(bass)
3.white and grey(doctor light?)
4.yellow and light yellow(yellow team)
5.green and ???(green team)
6.normal colors(normal and blue team)
7.???
as for if he is X version-
1.normal colors(normal colors and blue team)
2.red and white(zero colors and red team color)
3.white with red trim(colonel colors), this wont be a problem with armors for final smash since they cover his whole body.
4.gold and yellow(general colors and yellow team)
5.green and yellow(sigma colors and green team)
6.purple and lighter purple?(vile)
7.IDK realy...

I share your optimism in that I too would like to see a few more 3rd party characters...
I think Bomberman, Pacman, Manman, Sora, Geno, and the like deserve a chance, albeit a fleeting one, to appear in the world's most amazing fighting game to date...

why do you doubt X having a zero color scheme? I mean, I can see X having one if we dont get zero, but if we do get zero...actualy I can see it still happening. if we had both zero and X zero could have an X color scheme while X had a zero color scheme. I think it would be a fun switch up but please, give me a reason why you doubt it.

Please tell me those words were not used in the same sentence or in the same context. You can't even begin to compare the two of them, and I'm not even basing this off of my personal opinion. Both franchises are RADICALLY different from each other. Just because the Blue Bomber runs-and-guns doesn't automatically make him a generic ripoff of Samus. If that were the case, I guess that Contra's own Bill Rizer would be a duplicate as well. Also, just because Megaman has an arm cannon that is similar to Samus's does not designate him as some copy-cat. If I recall, the **** that Megaman shoots from his arm cannon is totally different from what Samus shoots. I mean, when have you seen Samus shoot a frickin' tornado out of her arm cannon? Eh?
Plus, there's certain elements of gameplay and all that stuff. But ya'll know that.

first time I saw it I thought it was amazingly done, compared to other shows for video games. I realy wish it was put into a series too. but sadly it is a little too late to do so. but hey we can always imagine what it could have been like.

They had potential with Zero...
ZX is already 1/3 anime...
But who gets the umpteen-million shows???

I loved the cinematic's in MHX and it was a great game i thought, i heard that it sold ok here but too poorly in japan, i also heard they would try and remake up to x6 if it kept selling well...but you can see that didn't happen.

*sigh* capcom has the materials(i.e. characters and games), if only it had a smarter marketing commitee(did I spell this right?), then we would see more quality megaman games+animes and not so many lame ones, maybe even series getting used more that are worth the time.*cough,cough*legends*cough,cough*.

If you're referring to me, I meant Capcom releasing Legends 3 at all, much less in 20XX, would be a miracle in itself. I know it's at the very end of the timeline.
Classic -> X -> Zero ->ZX -> Legends

I would say his move set would share one of two similarities to the C VS M one but would be pretty unique in itself.

this also needs a reply.
I would have loved a remake of X2 - X6, especially X4 since for the first time in the series, a love story played a big role in the events. the way it actually happened in original x4 makes me lol without thinking about the actual plot (plus certain things should have been expanded on). and x6 remastered just sounds cool - remixed shadow armor anyone? (Also. Gate is one of my favorite X characters/villains)

Megaman would fit perfectly with this game. I don't have much knowledge of the newer versions, but I can already see the classic version launching himself from the Robot Dog with Up+B. ^^
And although I'm not such a big fan of Snake, I do think that Snake + Sonic + Megaman would make very nice third party setup.
