^ Not really. It is more of a extra. If he had it, he'd probably get powers based off his game similar to who he takes the powers from. Also, bluebomber, don't forget Ike's Sigurd look (completely diffrent look), Diddy's sorta Dixie look, Dark Link, and how much Samus' suits change. And Zelda's CLASSIC-LOOK. X still has a high chance of being a alternate outfit. MM .exe could be like green. Bass could be black. Zero could be red. Hopefully Megaman's alternate costumes don't suck like Sonic's.

Although I'm against the whole copying thing for Mega, a solution for the "color problem" could be, that only the color of his buster changes when he copied a special move.

I still think megaman having alternate costumes would be the coolest solution to the whole problem. first you would pick youre form of megaman. his colors would change during the power absorbation. also some characters get extra colors via team battles, so megaman can be blue green and red normaly if you pick that team, while in free-for-all he is naturaly blue. or we can have the other characters naturaly have alternate colors they had in their repective games, megaman classic=blue, X=white(armors), exe=green(wood style change), zero=red, yellow=?, ect.

I dont know I am just throwing out possibilities but I know that alternate costumes will probably never happen, but its not like its all that hard, and I know about the whole third parties might not give you all the forms in a package blah blah blah, I am just giving possibilities.

eehh...I realy dont like that idea at all(Im so tired of everything becomeing music centered!). we already got one stage with a concert, besides, were did this idea come from?

meh, its the world realy, if you havnt noticed, alot of things have to do with music now-a-days. but I digress, this is a little off topic(and it may just be me being paranoid). I just dont think we need the robot masters playing music in the background, it just seems to have no connection to the series besides the characters names( such as rock, roll, and blues).

you misunderstand. Dark link may look completely different from Link, but the only thing they changed, was his colors. they didnt add on extra armor or anything like that. For Classic mega to change to .exe or X he would need a completly new character model

umm..wait...this causes a problem.
if megaman does have the ability to copy powers, he would change colors anyway. so wouldnt haveing alternate colors be kinda conflicting with the setup?

if mega man has the copy ability (which he probably wont look at MvC, a game made by capcom themselves) he will certainly NOT CHANGE COLORS every time he gets a power, i guarantee it. it would change team games too much. He might not change colors at all, or he might have the aura (Storm Eagle's Idea). I think the aura thing would be great, much better than just his buster changin color, great idea storm eagle.

sorry Jk1, i need to elaborate on what i mean. Classic will most likely have recolors that try to look like X (different shades of blue), protoman (red and gray), bass (black and purple/yellow), .exe (blue & green), etc. much like peach has a recolor to look like daisy, and mario has on to look like wario. But what I mean is there wont be classic as a PC with a costume that makes him X (with the extra armor, increased height, different helmet, etc)

Basically im tryin to say he will have recolors that resemble other MM characters, but not alternate costumes that in actuality are other characters

i like storm eagles idea where he has an "aura" around him and glows a certain color pertaining to whosever power he took. i dont wanna walk around with a miscolored buster

It could look like a dinosaur for Yoshi (looks like a Yoshi head with a red spine running across the top); it could have angel wings for Pit; it could be wrapped in vines (or look like a flower bulb) for Ivysaur/ look like Charizard's head/ and look like a turtle shell for Squirtle; it could look like Bowser's shell; so on and so forth.

ya, the buster should be the only thing to chage color, that way we dont get too much confusion and it wont end up being like a full recolor. also, a icon next to his symbol would be helpful to, but I doubt it would happen.

the aura idea around the buster seems a little silly, but I like it better than an aura around his entire body. but it may be hard to notice.
and the alteration of the buster looking like other characters(with the wings and stuff) reminds me of star force's beast headed buster cannon.

ya but what if some begginer who never play'd against megaman and saw the aura? they could think "oh noes megaman final smash!!!11!!" and freak out.(plus the aura for final smash has all colors inside it). I think the buster cannon changeing colors would be the easiest to do, easiest to notice, and least conflicting with other effects.

Well, I don't think a small nod towards Star Force would be too humiliating and disgraceful. As much as you don't like it, it IS part of the Megaman series.

And once again, I'm going to say that using colors would just get confusing after a while.
Imagine you were in a match with Luigi, Link, and Yoshi. Your auras would be 3 shades of green!

We can cut the aura and color ideas, and "theme" the buster cannon (which would also make for a kickass trophy series alongside the Kirby hats series). It would be easiest to notice, and easiest to differentiate. You could change your cannon depending on a taunt.

Well, it could be surrounded by gold rings and have wings. I don't know it's just a rough thought, but you see where I'm going. I don't think that will look bad at all, as long as it's done right.

and ya, when i was thinking wings, it looked kinda bad in my mind, but if we had those cool rings around it (instead)it would look kinda cool. it all realy depends on if they pick the right qualities to give the mega/X buster on wether it would turn put a good idea or not(if it is/was implemented).

With all of these possibilities for moves, I suppose only Sakurai could find a way to implement them into something for everyone. Personally, I think Megaman could do just fine using weapons from his own games and if he used a copy technique, he would steal Kirby's thunder.

hey, this gives me an idea to spice things up.
name 3 powers+thier looks for them.

mine will be:

mario:
power-fire ball shot, gives your shots a firey effect with reduced knockback but more damage.
options for looks:
1.red buster cannon color(ordinary red)
2.buster cannon has a fire flower design on it.
3.megaman has a red aura

Kirby:

gives megaman a vacume power that "swallows" your enemy with your cannon, you can then shoot them like kirby spitting them out, you can hold them for a longer time than kirby but they dont cause as much damage when shot.
options for looks:
1.pink buster cannon
2.a kirby head looking cannon
3.pink aura?

samus(I had to):

megaman can now charge his shots for more power, however, he can no longer move while shooting. his shots take less time to charge than samus's but they dont have quite as much power still.

options for looks:
1.a orange cannon or a brown cannon(same color as samus's)
2.megaman's cannon now has the same construction as samus's, but a little simpler design.
3.megaman now has a (?orange?) aura.

(hang on, is this kinda thing still allowed in these forums?)

~Mega Buster~
Obviously, the original form of Megaman's buster cannon.

~Angel Buster~
When Megaman copies Pit, all power surges to the shape of two golden rings, and he gains the ability to shoot Palutena's Arrows from his arm cannon.

~Dino Buster~
When Megaman copies Yoshi, he gains the ability to lob eggs from his arm cannon.

~Sonic Buster~
When Megaman copies Sonic, he gains the ability to... shoot something?
(Didn't think this one through, but it was easy to draw. )

aw, dangit, I just reliezed something. if megaman was givin a little costume over his mega/X buster, he would be EVEN MORE like kirby still. this idea would make him very much so like kirbies copy ability look change....this idea wont work without stealing kirbies thunder....

But if Sakurai makes Kirby take on MANY traits of the opponents he copies, not just with the special move (like he should, because that's how he plays in his games) then we won't have a problem here.

Megaman can just take the projectile, Kirby can aquire many of their traits.
