The famous Professor Oak’s grandson came here to the Kalos region to study abroad. He got "Bonjour" down just fine, but he still always said "Smell ya later!" when he left!
Status: MasochisticI've been tackling the game horrendously undereleveled since the 4th gym. Not the best idea for a Nuzlocke, but I like a challenge and it makes it exciting. To illustrate, upon entering Victory Road, the 1st 'mon I caught (Druddigon) set the bar as my highest level.
My lowest is 47, highest besides Druddigon is 56 now. Just beat my rival, and assuming I have halfway to go, won't even break 60.
Aside from getting things like Lv. 24 Horde Pokemon up to around the rest of my team, I don't grind. Also don't use EXP Share.
Alas, part of the formula that so desperately needs changing. We need really good reasons to travel back through routes. For me, a convincing atmosphere will do it, so long as there's gameplay enjoyable enough to explore for the sake of running around. That's what I enjoy most about The Legend of Zelda, the explorative gameplay is fun enough to revisit areas just for the sake of running, climbing, and jumping off cliffs. Pokémon would benefit greatly from a huge revamp to its overworld gameplay.I also make sure I get everything I possibly can when I first enter a route, just because I don't often look at routes again after I first go through them. This often leads to me forgetting where I have and haven't gone or I just straight-out get lost sometimes. :x
Yeah, I turned off Exp. Share when I got it because I thought it was going to be more of a hindrance, then heard everybody talked about it and turned it on for a while. But I turned it back off again, it just feels unnatural to me.
Also, I have a question: The Battle Chateau music is a remix of an old track, right? Because it sounds really familiar (it makes me think of 3rd gen) and it's driving me crazy, but I can't think of what it's from.
Did you get the upgraded Mega Ring? I believe you need that before you can get the other mega stones.I need help.
I beat the Elite Four for the first time recently and I went back to Couriway Town. I now have a Gyarados and I am looking for Gyaradosite. However, whenever I go to Couriway Town from 8-9 PM like you are supposed to, the Gyaradosite isn't where it should be / isn't there. Has anyone experienced a problem like this and how can I really get Gyaradosite? Did I miss out on it?
And before anyone asks me, yes. I did check my bag. It's not there.
The updated Mega Ring...? Where can I get that?Did you get the upgraded Mega Ring? I believe you need that before you can get the other mega stones.
Go to Kiloude City and battle in the Battle Maison a bit, then leave and go north up the stairs to the little pond area. Your rival should be there. Beat her and she'll tell you what to do next. Sycamore gives it to you.The updated Mega Ring...? Where can I get that?
Alright! Thank you!Go to Kiloude City and battle in the Battle Maison a bit, then leave and go north up the stairs to the little pond area. Your rival should be there. Beat her and she'll tell you what to do next. Sycamore gives it to you.
Right! Thank you. It was driving me crazy that I recognized it but couldn't figure out. It's the Battle Tower music, which actually was first in Crystal version but is definitely the 3rd gen music you're thinking of too.
well i suppose you can't be helped thenYou can also release every single shiny you ever catch and raise only Bidoof. I choose not to.
I have Y, so it's all good. I can just take fodder. :3I just nabbed a Fennekin off of the GTS with the last Chespin I had.
I'd love you forever if you traded me something with Pokerus though. <3
If you have X I have a few version exclusives I could breed you.
I bred 155 Snorunts in an attempt to get a couple of competitive caliber Froslasses (I was starting pretty much from scratch on that ****), so I did Wonder Trade for all of them just because I figured it was a better thing to do if only because other people are now getting Snorunt where they might not have before.
I ended up getting a bunch of foreign Pokemon I like (yay Masuda breeding?), a couple that were clearly bred for the sake of competitive play, and a couple with Pokerus.
Also TRG, if you still need a Fennekin, I have a couple foreign ones. :3
Super TrainingMy main turn-off from Exp Share was EVs going into all the wrong places. Do not want defensive Sneasel, or offensive Chansey.

Next time you log on when I happen to be on I'll just initiate trade and we'll do dis thing.
Masuda Method, maybe? There might be something else I'm not thinking of, though. What exactly is the rage about having foreign Pokemon?
The Masuda Method I suppose. You can get more Shinies with this method than by randomly finding one. The best way to get Shinies is by getting a foreign Ditto and breed. What exactly is the rage about having foreign Pokemon?
Lol, don't worry about it. I enjoy Super Training as it is, so having a Pokemon with Pokerus hardly means anything to me (especially when I happen to have two),You make me feel bad for not having anything to offer in return.

On another note I like your avatar JOE! Chesnaught was a beast in my playthrough... Too bad he's most likely going to suck competitively.
