Well, yea, it IS a litle too early to debate the next gen consoles:
We don't know for sure what they'll be able to do.
We don't know for sure what kind of GAMES they'll have.
We also don't know for sure how much they will cost.
And might I add that we don't even know what the Revolution's controller will look like.
I'm a Nintendo freak, for sure, and I've stuck with them since the beginning, and I'll stick with them into the next generation. They haven't failed on me any more than the other two have, just in different ways.
However, being a Nintendo fanboy often gives you a rep for being blind to the happines of the other two--not true. I love the PS2, and I...OK, I don't particularly like the X-Box, but I DO love Halo 2 and I do respect the power of the console.
Some people are saying that the PS3 will cost 500 bucks...

Um, screw that! The 360 I'm not sure about, but there's also some speculation about the Revolution being $200.
The PS3 looks to be the baddest machine, but at a price.
The PSP I can't say much about right now, since I've never used one, but I haven't seen or heard of any great ideas in games that really grab attention--it's simply what is IS, I guess: a portable PS. Yipee. I don't care.
The DS has more creative potential than the PSP, and if you can't figure out why, sux0rz to be j00. However, Nintendo has yet to truly demonstrate the full power of the DS. Titles like Kirby: CC and Nintendogs no doubt make good examples, though. I've played some of the minigames in Mario64DS, and I must admit that the precise control I have is impressive.
Of course, the PSP beats it out on a physical, machine level, no doubt. Too bad that the buffest computer in the world doesn't need to be creative at all. Dynasty Warriors? Um, single-button mashing, anyone?

W00t?
I'd rather draw trampolines than mash a single button over and over, thank you.
I'm still waiting to hear what the Rev's controller will be...I've heard that it may use gyroscopes, meaning that it'll be tilt-sensitive...That could prove to be rather interesting, indeed, especially in an SSB title. Oh, and speaking of which, an ONLINE Smash Bros. will probably give me reason enough to get a Revolution.
I haven't heard of any PS3 titles yet that sound interesting. Geez, if they were actually remaking FF7...And then, the XBox 360 looks to have some nice stuff already.
Gah. It'll still be another year until this debate can truly be...debated.
